19.01.2022 New permaculture interview! Just today, I was a guest on the PIP podcast with the wonderful Pip Permaculture Magazine founder and editor, Robyn Rosenfeldt. What... a great chat! We explored what it means to live a permaculture life, how permaculture IS climate regenerative, climate repair work, and how we can empower each other speak up for the positive change we wish to see - for the 'more beautiful world our hearts know is possible' as Charles Eisenstein so eloquently put it. We also explored ways to move through hopelessness and guilt - and things that hold us back! I hope you enjoy listening in. Feel free to share and love to hear your thoughts! https://soundcloud.com//pip-podcast-24-with-morag-gamble-o See more

17.01.2022 The Poowong Landcare Group had their Annual General Meeting recently and re-elected Mark Walter as President for 2019-2020. Peter Jacques has been elected Secre...tary for another term and Elvie Clark was also re-elected as Treasurer. The Poowong Group is involved in many projects and we are able to see the results of its previous endeavours as the trees grow and provide shade and habitat for wildlife. We are also looking into how we can reduce our use of plastic. Boomerang Bags Korumburra has just started and Landcare members can support this group (who are about zero waste and reusuable bags to replace single use plastic bags) by buying bags when they become available. Our regular meetings are on the 3rd Friday of the month at 7.30 pm at the Poowong Fire Station. Drinks and nibbles are available from 7.00 pm. Do come and join us if you would like to take action to care for our environment. All welcome.

05.01.2022 Inspired by Penny Mitchell, today I weeded and mulched my garlic. Also inspired by Penny I left the pulled up weeds between the rows and then I added worm castings. Don’t want that nitrogen drawdown from all that mulch #garlic #satisfaction #weeding #organics
