23.01.2022 Round 3 Senior results A grade A grade played Eastern Hill and won the toss and elected to bat. After a slow start and the loss of a few early wickets the boys faced an uphill battle. But our batting depth began to shine managing to make a competitive score of 8/132 at the end of the 45 overs. Marcus Davern 34no, Dale Tassone 26 and Rob Hanson 20 leading the way. ... In a tight run chase that held many changes of momentum the boys put on a clinical bowling and fielding performance managing to bowl eastern hill out for 125 in the final over. Shane Topham 3/27 with the best figures and Corey dennehy, Josh Buttler and Rob Hanson all taking 2 wickets. 3-0 B grade B grade played eastern hill, losing the toss and bowling first. In a particularly good bowling performance from the side they managed to bowl Eastern Hill out for 121 in the 42nd over. Cam Nugent 4/23 leading the way with the ball along with Connor Mcleod 2/18 and Xav stute 2/20. The boys chased the total down with ease passing the score one down in the 35th over. Kevin Crash Craddock dominating with the bat on 63no. Ben Egan 34 and Shags brown 18no also joining in on the fun. Also 3-0 C grade Blue The blue boys won the toss and batted first against avenel. In what was a dirty day for the boys they were bowled out for 37. Will denney top scoring on 11. The boys fought hard with the ball but ultimately avenel passed their score 4 down. Wickets were shared between Darragh Kerrigan, Shane Warren, Terry Maycock and Matt Buggy. C grade White C grade white won via forfeit 3/4 ain’t bad

20.01.2022 Round 4 Senior results A Grade The A grade boys played Broadford at home, winning the toss and electing to bat. In a good batting performance by our boys we completed our 45 overs at 9/182. Dale Tassone starring again making 73 and Ben Dawson making a quick 39 off 37 balls. In the field Broadford got off to a good start but the boys reigned them in largely behind a wonderful 5 over spell by Corey Dennehy taking 4/20. The boys stayed on top then bowling Broadford out for 121. ...Shane Topham and Josh Buttler chipping in with 2 wickets each. 4-0 B grade The B grade boys also played Broadford and also won the toss, electing to bat. After a shaky start being 6/43, the boys steadied behind Jayme Lowe 50 and Cam Nugent 39, finishing the innings with a respectable 9/138. The boys were on the back foot early with the ball with broadford being 4/90. But wickets began to come for our boys after this point, managing to bowl broadford out for 121. Tommy Manuel 3/12, Xavier stute 2/15, Pavi Singh 2/15 and Connor Mcleod 2/32 leading the way. 4-0 C grade Blue C grade blue played Seymour at wandong. Batting first the blue boys were on song! Boundaries came thick and fast for our boys, posting a massive 4/240 off our 40 overs. Paul Lilburn posting the first hundred of our season making a whopping 107!! Well done to Paul! Martin denney was also very good with the bat making 57. Al Clarke 21 and Dean Manuel 24no also chiming in with the bat. The boys were stingy with ball in hand restricting Seymour to 7/102 after 40 overs. In what was a Lilburn day out, young Tristan Lilburn took 4/14 off 5 overs! Matt isles also helping out with 2/14 off 7 overs! C Grade White The boys played Eastern Hill at Eastern hill. Bowling first the boys were sensational in the field keeping Eastern Hill to 9/96 at the close of their innings. Lachlan partridge 3/5 and David Noonan 2/12 leading the way with the ball. The boys steadily chased down the runs passing Eastern Hills total 6 down. Josh Squire 24 leading the run scorers, with handy cameos from David Noonan 17no and Steve Micallef 16. 4 wins from 4 games this weekend for our senior teams The C grade boys all look forward to the ding dong in Wandong next week when both our sides meet!

17.01.2022 Kilmore Cricket Club celebrated its season presentations on Saturday 13/3 which also included the induction of three Life Members. Brett Buttler, Marcus Davern and Phil McIntyre were all honoured with Life Memberships of the KCC for their dedicated service on and off the field. Dale Tassone won the Ray Jackson Memorial Shield for Player of the Year and Brett Buttler won the Fred Baines Kilmore Cricket Club Award for Club Person of the Year. 17.01.2022 Round 9 results summary A grade The a grade boys took on Yea at home, winning the toss and batting again. They boys put in a solid effort posting a score of 6/190. Dale Tassone 94, Jacob Walton 38 and Josh Buttler 22 leading the run scorers.... Unfortunately Yea batted sensationally chasing the score 4 down to hand A Grade their first loss of the season. B grade B grade played avenel at Avenel. We batted first and in a trying innings, posted a competitive score of 7/127. Kevin Craddock 44 and Gee Singh 24 leading the run scorers. Avenel made short work of the chase passing the score 3 down. Ben Trezise 2/17 the main bowler of note. C grade blue The blue boys played Broadford and also batted first. The boys batted very well to be 7/177 at the end of the 40 overs. Paul Lilburn 63, Dave MacBean 35, Martin Denney 24, and Callum Patridge 21 all contributing strongly. The boys bucked the trend for the day and made short work of Broadfords batting line up bowling them out for 83. Shane Warren 2/11, Dwayne Munnings 2/14 and Darragh Kerrigan 2/15 leading the way. C grade White C grade white bowled first against Avenel. Avenel were dominant with the bat posting 261 for the loss of 6 wickets, after 40 overs. Tony Maher 2/24 and Jarrod Cram 2/53 leading the wicket takers. The boys fought hard but only managed 65 in reply. Everyone’s favourite 12th man Cam Nugent leading the run scorers with 32.

03.01.2022 The club wishes to congratulate Dave Heather and partner Stefanie on the birth of their daughter Evelyn Erika Heather, who has recently turned one month old! The club also wishes to congratulate Ben Egan and his partner Georgia on the arrival of their daughter Florence Emma Egan who was born through the week! 02.01.2022 Kilmore Cricket Club Silver Circle Day Please Note: Due to the latest Covid Stage 4 Lockdowns Sunday’s Silver Circle Day has been cancelled. The committee will meet in a closed meeting to run the draw for $1000.00, this is planned for Sunday 21.02.2021, providing we are permitted to meet, if not another date will be set at the earliest possible time. All winners will be notified and the results posted on Facebook after the draw. In order to run the draw at its earliest we require all sold tickets and associated money to be forwarded to Lawrie Boyd, Cath Mogridge, Donna Trezise or Brett Buttler ASAP. 02.01.2022 The 2021 silver circle day has been cancelled but the club will still be running the raffle for the $1000 this Sunday. Only the committee will be in attendance but all other people can follow the draw via a live Facebook feed. This will start at approximately 2:30 this Sunday.
