25.01.2022 TRAINING UPDATE! As per the new guidelines, Instead of 20 players per oval (2 groups of 10), Were now allowed to have 40 players per oval (2 groups of 20)!! This means, That for the MENS teams we will no longer be doing scattered training sessions. ALL players are to arrive at 6pm, to be split into groups to train. We will be having two groups of 20 on the oval, and if numbers are good another 20 will be doing other stuff.... WOMENS training is to remain the same! Please keep an eye out in the next few days for Return to Training Protocols; These will need to be followed by all players to ensure that were able to keep training. There will be a registration process that needs to be followed so we can track who is at training, So if you havent filled out a rego form (we just need your details just incase) Please see Chloe at training. News re: the season is still yet TBA so keep an eye out!! If you have any questions, Please contact Chloe or Marko! See you all next week!

24.01.2022 With not much going on for our footy club at the moment and not much content for the facebook page, we have managed to find some links to a couple of past grand finals that feature our club. (Thanks Darren Jackson). The games are the 1990 Grand Final win over Heathmont (mullet heaven) and also the great triumph over Templestowe in 1995. A very successful time during this period in the clubs history, hope you all enjoy having a look at the footage.... - Marko 1990 Grand Final https://youtu.be/H9Wbvxqowuc 1995 Grand Final https://youtu.be/g5FSozsN3gQ

21.01.2022 G'day everyone, Just posting up a reminder about the club's annual general meeting. It will be held down at the footy club this Friday night, 13th of November at 6:00pm.... The current committee will be dissolved on the night and a new committee for the 2021 season installed. Here is your opportunity as a member of the club to express your opinion about the direction of our club and get involved. We had planned to provide a zoom option on this night but it's proved to be rather difficult technically so unfortunately this will not be happening. Also after recent discussions with the E.F.L we are hopeful to get a few training sessions in before xmas for all teams, keep an eye on this page for updates. Finally, the junior annual general meeting will be next Wednesday night the 18th of November. Anyone feel like getting involved with the direction of the junior program would be made very welcome as well. Thanks everyone, Marko.

21.01.2022 DATE AMENDMENT Hi guys sorry to do this but we are going to train on Wednesday nights for the foreseeable future. So training will actually begin on Wednesday the 1st of July. This will allow our junior teams full access to both ovals on a Tuesday and Thursday night. Our junior teams have settled in to those nights while weve been away and the fact they will be playing matches in the not to distant future it seemed a good idea to not unsettle them.... Dont forget the junior coaches, players and parents are still looking forward to seeing our senior players down on those nights to offer some support to there training sessions. Thanks and see you all soon - Marko

11.01.2022 Yesterday I was delighted to visit Pinks Reserve in Kilsyth to launch the implementation of the masterplan and kick off works that will transform this fantastic... sporting precinct. This project will provide an upgrade for every sport that is played there - football, basketball, netball, softball, cricket, table tennis and badminton, delivering in full the commitment we made at the last election. Within the month, works will start on the first two projects - upgrades for table tennis and softball. Well done to all the leaders, volunteers and players of our local clubs for their input to the masterplan, can’t wait to see this fantastic project take shape! 09.01.2022 Hi everyone Hope you have all been coping well during this years struggles which seemed to go on forever. Alas, a bit of optimism shines through after yesterday’s announcement of the lifting of some restrictions and we hope things will get even a little better soon.... The main message we wished to highlight today was the date of our annual general meeting. This important event will take place on Friday the 13th of November at 6.00 pm. It will be held at our clubrooms and will most likely be an outdoor meeting. There will also be a zoom link for those who cannot make it down on the night. For anyone who feels they could offer something to our committee next season we welcome new members and ideas, please contact our secretary Chloe for committee member nomination forms. On a football note, for those who were not aware all of our senior coaching group have re-committed for next season. So thankyou to Simon, Floydy, Clint, Max and Dave. They would love to see us start training asap but unfortunately we will have to wait for permission from the league. In particular Simon and Clint have been making contact with our playing groups regarding next season and we have also made some progress with our recruiting. We have just about finalised planning regarding a welcome meeting for our under 17 boys coming up and existing 19's with the senior coaches. Keep an eye out on this page for more updates. It has been such a frustrating year after all the momentum we built in the pre-season. We have a big job ahead of us as a committee and playing group to recapture that feeling again. Catch up soon Kilsyth Football Club committee Don't forget AGM Friday 13th of November, 6:00pm at Kily.

05.01.2022 Hi all, with everything starting to show signs of going back to some sort of normal a meeting was held recently with the coaching staff of all senior teams. The general concenus was that although the commencement of this season still seems a way off the idea of getting back into training would be a great way to start reconnecting with eachother. There will be many protocols to follow which we will share as soon as possible but we do have starting dates for you.... The senior women will start back on; DATE: Tuesday the 9th of June TIME: 6.00 till 6.45 pm LOCATIONS: Pinks The senior men and under 19s will start back on; DATE: Thursday the 11th of June LOCATION; Pinks TIME: 6.00 pm till 6.45 pm for the 1st group and 7.00 pm till 7.45 for the 2nd group. We will need a registering process for each group, more info on that to follow. At this stage we are unsure about the netball girls but will inform as soon as we know more. Keep an eye on the facebook page for updates and if you have any questions regarding training contact your coach directly. Seeya all soon, Marko.

05.01.2022 Congratulations on a great win to our senior women’s team yesterday. With their game starting at 4:45 in Surrey Park, they were drenched during the third quarter but their skills and determination showed and they came out on top. Kilsyth; 5.11-41... Surrey Park; 0.1-1 Well done ladies!

05.01.2022 TRAINING TO RETURN ON THURSDAY JULY 2 Hi all, not long after the EFNL decided to abandon the 2020 season our match committee met and the decision was made to postpone our return to training until some of the covid restrictions were hopefully relaxed. Now that restrictions have been eased the coaches really want to get back on the track and continue the momentum built in the early part of the year.... The mens, womens and under 19 teams will all return on July 2nd. There will be some light sessions to begin with together but ultimately the men and women will train separately due to the erection of our sensational new lights on the top oval. Clint has his agenda for the womens team which may include some actual games later in the season. There is some good stuff planned for the mens teams also. Notably, if the numbers are strong, 2 teams will be separated and train together for a few weeks under specific coaches with some full scale intra club practice matches to take place between those teams at regular intervals. The prospect of some practice matches against other clubs under our new lights later in the year are also in the planning. At this stage training will only be on Thursday nights at 6.00pm but it will be great to get back around the club and have a kick. On another note our junior teams will commence there season on July 27th. All teams are currently training and anyone who wished to help out with the youngsters the junior coaches would be more than happy for your support. For junior training times contact Marko.

05.01.2022 Kilsyth committee and players send their love to our senior womens player Lauren Mcarthur! Wishing you a speedy recovery in hospital!

02.01.2022 NEWS FROM THE JUNIORS. Our junior committee has asked if we could help out with the role of under 9s coach for the current season. A terrific and enthusiastic group of youngsters are in need of a person or persons to lead them for the remainder of this season. ... Although not confirmed as yet by the league it is anticipated that the juniors will play. Basically 1 hour on a Sunday morning and 1 training night a week for approximately 7 to 8 weeks. Everyone at our club should be aware how important our junior age teams and auskick clinic are to the future of our whole club so the prospect of someone from the senior group ( mens or womens teams ) taking the reins for this year would be awesome. The club is happy for a couple of people to fill the position so please consider this role seriously. You will find it extremely rewarding and be helping out the club immensely. For more information contact the junior president Cassie or Marko

01.01.2022 Round #1. Kilsyth v Knox 17.4.21

01.01.2022 As of midnight May 31, we will be allowed 20 players outdoors, including our coach, aswell as medical staff. We are still waiting for confirmation from Afl Victoria, and the league as to what this means for us: ie. can we have two groups of 20 on the same oval, but separated? The committee is meeting this week to discuss the logistics of training if we are to go ahead!... We will keep you all posted, and when we know, youll know!

01.01.2022 Good luck Luke Muller!
