22.01.2022 SHE BE WORKIN’ Hey, hi, it’s me just thought I should come out from under my resting and nesting rock to update you on what the future holds for KILTER... While Remedial Massage Therapy was recently re-added to the list of essential services, it was under extremely grey guidelines that stipulated it was only for those in chronic pain or for health reasons. As far as I’m concerned, Remedial Massage is ALWAYS delivered for a health reason and that reason is to res...tore or improve optimal health! I didn’t want to re-open if it meant scrutinising my clients under these subjective stipulations, and I also fundamentally feel that the reasons I chose to close my business still stood - this is an issue of public health and while that issue is not completely contained (atleast in our local community) I will do my bit to help #flattenthecurve. I respect my clients and my community enough to keep us safe even if it means suffering financially. At #32weekspregnant I will be keeping KILTER’s doors closed and *hopefully* returning some time later in 2020. The studio will remain in the same location but with an extended offer of services which I’m super excited to announce in the coming weeks This down time has not been in vain! I love my job, I love my clients, and I cannot wait to be back servicing you all Thank you for your continued support and care during this time, the level of support that the Newcastle small business community has shown one another has been mind-blowing and it’s what makes me so eager to get back amongst it ASAP! 17.01.2022 KILTER’S APROACH TO CORONA VIRUS Here’s what we’ve done at KILTER to put your mind at ease: ~ As per usual, we’re maintaining our high standards of cleanliness sanitising every door handle, tap, light switch, bathroom surface and table before and after EVERY treatment. ~ You will notice the hand sanitizer immediately upon entry, please use it as desired.... ~ Feel free to use the facilities to wash your hands before and after your treatment. ~ Towels continue to be rotated for every treatment. ~ Do notify me if you begin to show signs/symptoms of a cold or flu or are living in the same household as someone who has been told to self-quarantine. Make the call early as per the cancellation policy (outside the 24 hours prior to appointment) to avoid forfeiting the cost of the consultation. ~ Do notify me if you begin to show signs/symptoms of a cold or flu AFTER your treatment - the incubation period stems from a few hours up to a few days. ~ Cough into your elbow NOT your hands. ~ I adore my clients, but handshakes, high-fives and hugs are out for the time being. Who wants an awkward ScoMo handshake moment anyway? Stay well and stay educated xo

07.01.2022 CANCELLATION POLICY A note on cancellations: please note that this is addressed both here on the business page and in the confirmation text you receive a week prior to your appointment. I send out this text as a goodwill gesture to you, and also to negate as much financial loss to the business as possible. If you cancel under 24 hours notice, the FULL COST OF THE SESSION is forfeited by the client. This is because rarely is someone else available to take your place with... less than 24 hours notice; as a one-woman band I am booked 3-4 weeks in advance so cannot slot another client in that week to make up the loss and, similarly, I will not always be able to make up your appointment in the same week, and and it is a financial loss to the business. Your consideration and thoughtfulness on this matter is greatly appreciated.

06.01.2022 I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed to not be returning to a new normal along with all my fellow female business owners in the health, wellness and beauty industries today I’m so jazzed for the chapter I’m about to step into as a first time mother, and am wide-open to letting my prenatal, birth and post-partum experiences act as a compass for how things look when I return to trading; I’ve had such a positive experience so far and feel so strongly about other wom...en knowing it can be that for them too! I would like to see myself re-opening by the end of 2020/beginning of 2021 (yikes, talking about a new year ), but in the meantime, I’d rather use my platform to pay it forward to all the women who are holding the fort in my absence and making Newcastle the amazing, supportive small-business landscape that it is I’ve tagged them below and it’s not a short list!
