23.01.2022 Recently our students held a 'Blue Heart Drive' for the JDRF Australia. The JDRF aims to help defeat type 1 diabetes and to support the 120,000 Australians living with T1D. For every $5 donation, we placed a blue paper heart on our JDRF window. We raised a total of $3000!... Thank you to everyone who made a donation.

23.01.2022 As there was no House Cross Country Carnival this year, the PE and Sport Departments decided to make the annual Beep Test challenge a House event. All students in Years 7 to 11 completed the aerobic fitness test in their weekly sport time, along with any Year 12 student who wanted to participate. Each student scored points for their House depending on the level and shuttle in the test they completed. Well done Burman, winning all three year level categories (Year 7, Years 8 ...and 9 and Years 10 and 12) and taking out the whole competition by 145.5 points! A huge congratulations go to the two first-time overall winners Charlie C (Year 10) for the males and Clancy W for the females (Year 7). Charlie managed Level 14.2 and Clancy scored 11.5. Clancy’s score is extremely impressive, considering she is only in Year 7. The school records currently stand at 14.10 for the males and 12.01 for females, so both of these students should have one eye on breaking this records in future!

Congratulations to: Franco L. for winning the Major Bursary: (only one of three in VIC) Diya M, Joanna M and Alannah M - three out of five possible winners in the state.... This is a fantastic achievement! Here are the students with their awards, as well as examples of their work.

14.01.2022 On their Re-Orientation Day our Year 7 students wrote the challenges they faced during COVID onto a rain drop, and how they ‘grew’ or what they appreciated, on a flower. This was one of Prof. Lea Waters’ Visible Wellbeing activities ‘We Grow Through What We Go Through’. Some of our Year 7 students created a display of the raindrops and flowers, in the 1M corridor, complete with origami butterflies, made by Chase H. ... L to R: Jasmine P, Maya W, Anna Z, Claudia C, Addison H , Avah Q, Chase H. Isn't it lovely?
