24.01.2022 Sunshine on a rainy day . While the skies are cloudy with the COVID-19 Virus hanging over all of our heads we are thankful that walking is still encouraged. We look forward at the start and end of each day to get outside for some fresh air and walk around the block. It really helps to clear the mind which we think is important while spending so much time at home. We think this is just the most beautiful time of year, the weather is perfect, the temperature is just right, and we are so lucky to call this special part of the world home.

24.01.2022 Do you even file??? So Eliot and I have been working hard the last few weeks to catch up with all of our clients to see how they are going during this hard time. Community is first for us at the moment. We've also been utilising the time to get on top of our files. We are super organised (well one of us is ) and although we have a very good online system, we also like the old school ways. Eliot and I like to have something malleable to work with, we recycle our folders and print minimally as eventually we want to go paperless. It got me thinking today I wonder how many people still manage files.... or am I really starting to show my age?

21.01.2022 I'm 99.99% sure Eliot will kill me for posting this BUT I also thought it's important to share what we do in our down time to help us relax because it might give someone some ideas they just hadn't thought of. As we've been spending a lot of time at home we have started some hobbies.... mine is jig saw puzzles, and Eliot's is model tanks.... yep lol! I will be sure to post a photo of Eliot's finished product because let me tell you this room has been renamed the tank room with all the late nights he's spending in here... you'll have to wait until completion to hear the name he has christened the tank

12.01.2022 Eggscelent Eggs... How were our eggs this morning you ask, well Eliot said they were just Eggscelent. This morning we scrambled and let me tell you what the secret to amazing eggs is... Fresh Eggs!! I'm so lucky that my girlfriends mum loves her chickens just as much as her children and we get the most delicious eggs from her. Eliot asked why they were so yellow and I said because they've come straight from a happy chickens bum. After some advice on my last egg photo I cleaned the plate this time... however I still don't think I've nailed it. Perhaps I should've added some garnish? Is it possible to make a photo of scrambled eggs look good??

09.01.2022 Well it's official... today will go down as the greatest day in history for Eliot as the broncos have their first game back. HELP!!! If you live anywhere in the vicinity of QLD I apologise in advance for the screams that will be bellowing from our home. I can't even begin to explain how much of a fan Eliot is. Poor Everly has no choice and Eliot has dressed her accordingly. So tonight as I cry for many reasons I will at least be stuffing my face with our second true love, pizza.... because let's be honest you can’t watch the footy without some home made pizza

07.01.2022 The Perks of Working From Home During such a devastating time we have been really trying to focus on some positives to keep ourselves in a good frame of mind. Today as I watched my daughter miss her mouth and smear pureed zucchini all over herself, I couldn't help but smile. Having recently returned to work from Maternity leave it was really hard for me to say goodbye to our baby girl each morning while she spent the day with grandma... I am soaking in every second I now get to spend with her while we work from home.

05.01.2022 Yesterday we held our first Zoom group meeting... I was in two minds as to whether I remained in my PJ's or dressed in my work attire. I decided that seeing as my computer monitor is from the waist up, I dressed business at the top, and Pj's on the bottom. With a warm cup of coffee we kicked off and what a successful meeting we had. It was so great to connect with everyone and see us all working together from our home offices. We covered some great topics and all have our projects to work on for the coming week. My highlight of the meeting was definitely how close Robyn Kildey sat to the screen to speak into her microphone, or when the screen cut to Brian George Of Countryside Realty Noosa cuddling his dog Buddy on his lap... I don't think he knew we could see him

04.01.2022 Relaxation Station. Weekends have changed a lot for us without open homes. Although we are still conducting quite a few inspections by appointments, with the importance of staying at home the priority, it means the inspections are short and sweet and with buyers who are committed, not so much of the browser buyers (put your hand up if that's you (I'm guilty I love looking at homes )) . That combined with the extra time we are getting at home means we've started to achieve a lot of those little projects that have been on the back burner for quite a while. You may or may not know that Eliot used to be a carpenter (which really helps with his knowledge of the real estate industry - and lucky me ), so he built us a fabulous deck to enjoy our afternoons on while we spend quality time with our daughter.
