17.01.2022 Dear members, as you are aware there were restrictions that led to changes for the week. Since then, from the General Secretary of the Synod, 'we do recommend you commence transitioning back to worship from the 29th November as Advent begins. We encourage you to once again plan for ministry activities from Monday, 23rd November onwards, with an understanding that strict COVID requirements still apply.' Please find attached an Order of Service for this coming Sunday. I do remi...nd you that the Christmas Bowl appeal begins this Sunday, and reference can be in this is two minute video of introduction for the Christmas Bowl 2020. https://www.actforpeace.org.au//CB20-01-ChristTheKingSunda I look forward to worshiping together on Sunday 29th November. It will be a workshop type of morning in the church hall, with spacing. Yours in Christ, Dean Brine

16.01.2022 Kimba Uniting Church is pleased to announce - church services are back - this Sunday June 7 at 10am. Being the first Sunday of the month, there will be an open hand communion instead of our more traditional practice. Social distancing will be practiced with 20 people permitted in the church and another 20 in the hall. Please use hand sanitiser provided on entry and fill in the contact register with your name and contact details in order to comply with the rules. This will b...e a chance to enjoy some community time together after doing an amazing job of helping stop the spread of COVID-19. A whole church cleanup will be held on Friday June 5 at 4.30pm (also following social distancing rules). If you have any questions about the cleanup or Sundays service please contact one of our Church Council members or Rev Dean Brine.

16.01.2022 Dear Kimba Uniting Member, I have returned in good health from my holiday leave, to a different way of living and responsibilities here. I became acutely aware when Wudinna cancelled the service last Sunday, and was referred by their newsletter to watch Seeds Uniting on-line. I watched three different services of worship on Sunday morning and I have subsequently learned more about production and dissemination of materials and information....Continue reading

12.01.2022 A list of available video services was sent out by the Synod of South Australia. Here are some that might suit our members at the moment. I based it my choices on the following points. 1. How easy to access 2. Sound quality 3. Content quality... 4. Music type and quality Brougham Place www.bpuc.org Good sound, interesting concept Burnside City https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCS5QgvPONc2w9W77RehhfDg Very good sound and content, song words on the screen. Tap on Breakthrough Worship. Hope Valley https://hopevalleychurch.online.church/ Good sound and music. Easy to get to. Journey https://www.youtube.com/c/UCDfYI5uXtVmRQhiDspRwyeQ/featured This accesses past services. Suited to a younger audience. Good sound. https://journeyuc.online.church This leads directly to Sunday 10.00 streamed service. Parafield Gardens https://www.pguc.online.church This is a streaming service, but may not be in service this weekend. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHWGmaejT6LOXCfaCaZib6Q Past service with good sound and songs with the words shown Morialta http://www.morialtauca.org.au/virtual-church/ Good sound and songs with words. Will be working through youtube soon. Bit hard to get on easily to past services but can talk people through it as the services would suit a lot of our congregation. Others will get better as times goes by. I didnt want to add too many at this early stage of sharing church at home. Feel free to contact for advice on connections. With luck many may be able to play on the TV. Feel free to contact me if you need any help Trevor Cliff

10.01.2022 The Op Shop is being overwhelmed with donations and we would ask everyone to please slow them down until we can catch up. Due to COVID-19 we have to hold all do...nations for 72 hours before unpacking, so we ask that only one garbage per family be dropped off per day. Thank you for your co-operation with this. See more

04.01.2022 This weeks worship @ home message from Rev. Dean Brine.

04.01.2022 because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation 1 Peter 1:3 (NLT) Just like new shoots push their way to light and life through the charred bark of a burnt tree, the risen Jesus gives humanity its brightest sign of hope a reason to live with great expectation. Churches are finding new ways of celebrating Easter this year. We are reminded that God cannot be confined to a place of worship, but brings the hope of new life to all, no mat...ter where we find ourselves. We pray that you might find the strength to endure, and a bright light of hope to carry you through. May your Easter be filled with the enduring hope and great expectation that is found in the resurrection. Blessings The Uniting Church in Australia, Synod of South Australia www.sa.uca.org.au
