05.01.2022 Silica Beach Silica Beach is one of the natural Kimberley treasures. 150 metres long, she is made up of pure white silica sand and is the only one of her kind on the entire Kimberley coastline. Of course that adds to her attraction and is the reason why so many Kimberley boat cruises visit here on their journeys, sometimes pausing for camping. Silica Beach has a vegetated foredune of Triodia pungens (or Soft Spinifex) that climbs up to 4 metres high. Behind is a 20m high bedrock slope. The sand slopes toward the sea between the headlands where deeper rock reefs lie. Access is easily made by smaller vessels.
