17.01.2022 Back on the 30th June 2019, 11 strangers and a host of Intrepid tour leaders and crew, came together to celebrate Intrepid Travel 30th birthday. We were the first ever group in Intrepid Travel History to participate on a tour into the unknown. We didnt know how and where we were going. We only knew the start date, which hotel we had to meet at, as well as the ending date and city. It was a complete mystery. All we knew is we needed a sense of adventure, snacks, walking shoe...s and the willingness to handle anything thrown at us - quite literally. We made our way through some of the most isolated and spectacular mountain passes in the world. We weaved our way from Kazakhstan to Mongolia, through the Altai Republic of Russia. We discovered the secret of the ice age by glacier trekking the mighty Pontanin Glacier the longest in Mongolia, Interacted with indigenous communities, including the Altai people, saw wild Takhi horses in Khustain National Park and walked the most spectacular mountain pass into the Chulyshman River Valley. With multiple breakdowns, hurdles, and laughs, this was a trip to remember. I hope you enjoy some of the highlights. #escapetheordinarywithkim

08.01.2022 Family Travel Travel Isnt always a holiday. Its also a learning curve, no matter your age! I have been fortunate enough to travel around the world with my family since I was a little girl. This wasnt to spoil me but in fact to visit my relatives in different corners of our globe, as well as allowing me to be exposed to new places, people and cultures to educate me on things bigger then myself. It was such an incredible opportunity for me and somthing I will always loo...k back on and appreciate how lucky I was and how unique it is to see the world through the eyes of being a child and now to see it again at an adults perspective. So when I assist families with their overseas trips, I cant help but feel excited for all of them, especially the little ones with eyes wide open and teenagers full of questions and curiosity. I personally think its important for people to get out into the real world and to experience others way of life. Its not always sunshine or rainbows, but I think that teaches you how lucky we have it, and how to adapt to different situations. When traveling as a family, you have the opportunity to see our world through different eyes.
