23.01.2022 I tend to keep most of my private life private, but I believe that education on this particular topic is more important. April marks exactly one year since my son's and my family's lives were changed drastically. My son was burned in an accident at home involving an eco-fuel burner. It all happened extremely quickly, and was followed by absolute panic and mayhem. He received severe burning to his face, neck and hand. As a parent it’s your worst fear seeing your kids hurt.... He is slowly recovering, but it’s a bloody long road ahead. Until this happened, I had limited understanding about treating burns safety. I am going to do a series of posts talking about our experience, and also sharing what we have learned. Hopefully this will shed some light and prepare other people, especially parents, should anything similar ever occur.
