21.01.2022 Nathan has been amazing . He has stepped up to the plate like a true horseman for the past few months I have been in hospital. Nathan is competently looking ...after 7 horses, worming, feed, hygiene, fencing, arranging our farrier etc. Steffen is taking care of the Service and AI to Dom. The 3 competition horses are enjoying a rest, except for Adela, who is being schooled by Lord Dressage Australia. Flip and Dom are loving the rest, getting fat and shiny. Nathan is taking care of a visiting mare for service to Dom, 1 mare due to foal within the next few weeks, 2 brood mares, and Robbie the Wonder Horse who is retired. I am filled with pride, this goes to show that people with disabilities are just as capable as anyone else. See more

20.01.2022 PRARG Participation/Club Dressage This weekend NVS Equine Attire Ambassador Nathan Harvey will be competing in his new Derby Boots at his home ground at Park Ri...dge Adult Riding Group Participation/Club Dressage proudly sponsored by Shire Saddleworld . Nathan will be riding in the Novice 2A & 2B tests, the ever faithful 'Flip' will be competing, he has been going along quite nicely with a 5th and 6th place two weeks at the Gold Coast 1 Star. Adela was to make her debut at PRARG this weekend, she is going truly kindly for Nathan, but Nathan is understandably a bit jittery if something goes wrong, Adela has not been exposed to the hustle and bustle of a big competition, so after discussion with Nathan's Coach, Nathan, and club President Kay Paulsen, we decided to scratch. Adela & Nathan are a new combination, Adela was broken-in March 2020. Nathan & Adela will go to the Members Thursday Morning Group. This will introduce Adela to a modest crowd of horses & people. Adela has yet to endure the warm-up area full of horses and noisy traffic. Adela is looking and feeling amazing, look at her shine showing health plus using Wattlelane Stables Flowers Gold. 20.01.2022 Equidae Botanical Horse Care Ambassador - Dom, came in today to begin work, after a long well-earned rest. He enjoyed his bath in Equidae Botanical Horse Care, having an extra-long massage because he is so special and loveable. I was a little shocked when the water was turned off and I was scraping down Dom's coat, I find a puddle in the middle of his back - not moving - like a dam. Too many Maxisoy Bikkies for Dom!

19.01.2022 #Itstimetotryakieffer I love riding this horse, whenever I feel down or sick, I jump right on up there and he makes me feel like the luckiest person alive. Dom is the nicest personality I have ever had the pleasure of pairing with. When I was so ill, I could not get out of bed, Nathan said to me, "you must compete Dom for me Mum, I will be busy learning to ride Adela". This was the nicest - most selfless thing I have ever heard. Nathan & Dom are inseparable. Nathan means what he said. His heart is as big as Gold. I have had two rides on Dom, we are as out of shape as each other, yet he is the perfect gentleman. I am very lucky to say that I have the best men in my life.

17.01.2022 Nathan & Steff have been terribly busy building a large foaling yard. We have our own baby from Dom and Duchess due in 2 months. To say we are excited is an und...erstatement. The time is going to move very quickly for Nathan, and it will soon be time for the State Special Olympic Games in March 2021. The proposed dates for the Games are the 19th, 20th and 21st March and will be held at The Cartmill Centre, 75 Kilkenny Drive, Burpengary. The Games will commence on the Friday afternoon (times to be determined) and will finish on the Sunday 21st March (time to be determined). All athletes will be offered 3 events. The first event on Friday 19th March is compulsory, and this is equitation. This is not a set test and will be determined on the day by the judge. it will be explained and demonstrated to the athletes prior to them doing the test. This will be followed by 3 dressage tests and selection for the Nationals in Tasmania. Further selections will be for the world games in Berlin. We have begun a breeding program with Dom, he is getting plenty of girls. Any Trakehner, T'bred or Arab mare who comes to Dom, their foal is full bred Trakehner. Please inbox if interested. 11.01.2022 Nathan Harvey has put his riding accident behind him and made the giant leap to ride his beautiful big mare, Adela who was given to Nathan by Sponsors' Gary & W...arren Schutz from Gwarryen Trakehners Horse Stud. Warren & Garry heard about the accident back in November 2019 & made the generous decision to give Nathan a horse that was not only bred for the competition arena, but also had the temprament & intelligence to keep Nathan safe in the saddle. Adela has recently been 'broken-in' by 'Lord Dressage' Australia, located at Beadesert, so many people behind the scenes have made this possible for Nathan and we thank you sincerely. We would also like to thank Park Ridge Adult Riding Club for allowing Nathan to use the Round Yard while training Adela, until he regained his confidence to venture around the beautiful grounds at PRARG, it was not long before Nathan & Adela hit the dressage arena's and also had a stroll around the lovely grounds. Riding late into the afternoon, the sun disapering behind the trees, Nathan & Adela were enjoying one another - but the light was becoming barely visible, so we ventured all the way home all of 1-2 km away. 10.01.2022 A little tense going between the arenas with horses coming at him, plus the flowers in pots around the Dressage Arena should not be there! Kieffer Australia Am...bassadors Diesel and Nathan Harvey First Day out for this pair. Most of his test was nice, but there was a moment of disobedience, plus he broke from the trot to the canter in one movement Waiting for the scores He should place in the middle of the field. Lesson for the day Diesel needs less time to warm up. He had already done his best, then asked to do more. I would say a 15 minute warm up rather than 40 minutes. Diesel must have looked good on warm up, a man came over and offered us $6,000 for him. To me they is no money that will buy Diesel. Let's see what happens next time. Diesel was on a class of 18 other horses. See more

There are to more Competitions in this series, both Nathan and Diesel can work to catch the winner to win the overall series. Scored a bottle of Champaign as the encouragement award. Th...ank you to the PRARG Committe for today, the weather was nice, the company pleasant and the horses wowed us all. Nathan had a lesson with the great Matt Lord from Lord Dressage Australia. Matt is situated at Beaudesert where he schools and breaks in horses. Nathan and Adela handled her first outing like a fish to water, they 'owned' that arena, an extremely exciting start to their journey. 10.01.2022 #itstimetotryakieffer Whats going on with Kieffer Australia rider Nathan Harvey & his Team of Horses? You can see Nathan has improved so much; his seat in his K...ieffer saddle is becoming stronger and his horses are responding better and better. Adela is the new girl on the team, she is certainly sorting Nathan out now, she knows only the correct way to be ridden after being broken in by Lord Dressage Australia; if Nathan begins each ride a little lazy, Adela won't stand for it, she is a big horse and needs to be kept together with Nathan's legs - his Kieffer seat, & with a steady hand to keep her going forward, she goes nicely once Nathan kicks himself up the butt. They will continue to train until Nathan gets things right. The photos show a different story with his old faithful Flip, Nathan has been to 2 Open Comps this year, he is trying to apply everything taught to him, he is sooooo close. Nathan doesn't realize he just needs to be as relaxed as he is focused, and Flip will give him a winning test. The pair have been to EGCC 1* and the PRARG Participation Day beating his past scores up to 63.9% and remaining in the top 5 placings. This week Nathan & Flip will travel to The Hygain Sunshine Coast 2020 NAGs Club Dressage Championships to compete in the Open Novice class. We will travel up to Nambour and camp the night before so that Flip and Nathan have a good night sleep before their test. Dom is coming back into work, he is looking very fat and happy with himself during the breeding season, he leaves his stallion head in the paddock and brings his sweet Dom face to the arena every time. We are looking forward to having Dom traveling with us next year. 07.01.2022 Nathan has been holding the Fort ! I have been in bed recovering from a Rheumatoid Flare for the past few weeks. Today is my first day back. I had a walk outsid...e to see all the horses and Nath has done a super job without me, I am very proud. Dom is very fat and looking sensational, he has been on vacation for a few month's and loving it! I hope to be back riding him before the week is out. Flip has been training non-stop since the Corona virus Lock down & now getting hungry for those competitions to show their stuff. Freshly home from being broken-in and educated by Lord Dressage Australia is Adela who has been extremly accepting of Nathan when he gets things right and forgiving when he is a little edgy. Nathan is all but 'over & done' with his nerves after his last fall - and looks forward to a strong year of competition with Adela in 2020. Steffen is busy working to pay the bills, he is our biggest sponsor and we are so lucky that he encourages the Team to travel to events while he is at home taking care of things. We do reward him well ). Believe me when I say it really takes a team to keep this ship running smoothly, especialy when one person has been down for so long.
