03.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Due to the recent comments made on Mandurah Q and A we have unfortunately decided this page may need to be closed down. The Mens Shed would love to have millions of members that can come and go as they please but we cant do this due to the insurance costs, the amount of space we have and how many people we are allowed at a time due to public liabilities. At this Mens shed we make handmade wooden toys and with these toys that are all made by volunteers we donate ...a lot to groups such as Make a wish and Womens refuge, we also hand out 100s of free toys at the Mandurah Childrens festival and the rest we sell. We sell the toys so we can purchase more materials, and pay bills such as insurances, if you have ever tried to apply for a grant you would understand this is not an easy thing. We try and keep ourselves open, have machines that work including maintenance etc and materials to continue making these wonderful toys. We have been looking at bigger locations/shed but the real problem is we cant afford to be paying huge rent or to purchase anything straight up and with this we have restrictions. See more
