23.01.2022 Group training times and information: Please see below for our new group training times commencing next week! All classes are 45 minutes and are a mix of strength, HIIT and metcon. ... Train with purpose and train for longevity. Our sessions are all based on periodised programming - no random workouts. Our classes are not about how many calories you can burn in one session, the aim is to improve your strength, fitness and health with an emphasis on safety and sustainability. Train smarter - get the results and maintain them! Monday: 5:30, 6:15, 7:00 am Tuesday: 5:30, 6:15, 7:00, 8:15 am Wednesday: 5:30, 6:15, 7:00 am and 2:00pm Thursday: 5:30, 6:15, 7:00, 8:15 am Friday 5:30, 6:15, 7:00 Saturday 7:00 am One on one and small group training sessions available at the moment in the afternoon. 13.01.2022 Goals that don’t involve fat loss There is nothing more mentally draining than training for pure fat loss - you get over that real quick. Shifting your focus to building strength, lifting heavier or improving your health and lifestyle is what will keep you motivated to keep showing up week after week. There is no end goal, the goal is to be the happiest and healthiest version of yourself.... Ditching the diet mindset and focusing on the above goals will improve your quality of life, and guess what - you will most likely drop some body fat in the process! 09.01.2022 Definitely worth the read, this changed my life. Typically we set a large goal which requires life changing, earth shaking leaps to accomplish the goal in as little time as possible. Although it sounds good in theory this often will lead to burnout, frustration and failure. What we should be focusing on in continuous small improvements every day, slightly adjusting our everyday behaviours and habits. - We tend to convince ourselves that change is only meaningful if there is... a large, visible outcome associated with it. This can be in relation to any goal - saving $10,000, losing 10 kgs, starting a business.. We often put pressure on ourselves to get from A to Z as quick and smoothly as possible to make an improvement everyone will talk about. - In relation to weight-loss, companies will sell you challenges and quick fixes because we thrive off this end result, we will put ourselves through hell to achieve something that looks good and gets others talking. Meanwhile, a month after the unrealistic, drastic life changing habits we had to form overnight to achieve this goal all fly out the window and we are back to where we started, if not 10 steps behind. - Improving by 1% isnt notable or noticed, but it can be just as meaningful if not more in the long run. - In the beginning there is basically no difference by making a choice that is 1% better or worse because it wont impact you straight away. Although, as time goes on these choices compound whether they are positive or negative and you suddenly find a big gap between people who make better choices compared to those who dont. - If you get one percent better each day for one year, you'll end up thirty-seven times better by the time youre done. - James Clear, Atomic Habits See more

03.01.2022 Some days just feel hard, I can definitely vouch for this. The last couple of days have been extremely hard for me personally. I have 5 things that you can do right in this second that can instantly change your mood and your mental state! They are so simple yet SO effective. ... Stop what you are doing and take 5 deep breathes. Count them out, and close your eyes. Once you finish, take 30 seconds before you commence whatever it was you were doing. Walk outside... right... now... do it! Open the front door and walk outside, leaving your phone behind. Walk down the end of the driveway or just sit down for just 3 minutes before walking back inside and return to what you were doing. Say out loud 5 things that you are grateful for! Do 30 seconds of star jumps! As Tony Robins says motion creates emotion by changing your physiological state you can change your emotional state INSTANTLY. Send someone you love a text message! Tell them something you love about them or just say thank them for being them! If you have any handy little strategies that you do to shake you out of a rut, comment below. I would love to hear and they may even help someone out there!
