25.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all our superheroes- Dads, Grandads, Uncles and Father-figures. We hope you have an amazing day with your loved ones

25.01.2022 This week our little munchkins have been busy creating using a variety of methods. They started the week with texta drawing smiles on faces for happiness day. They created cardboard Easter eggs and paper plate Easter egg baskets as well as crested with clay and play dough. They used their hands to pop bubbles clapping their hands together or popped it with their fingers. They spent time in the outdoor area on the trikes and on the slides.

24.01.2022 This week our Dolphins helped celebrate their peers' birthdays. Together they helped add and mix ingredients to make birthday cakes. The children sang 'Happy Birthday' to their friends as they strengthen their bonds and create a sense of belonging.

24.01.2022 Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, self-improvement and heightened devotion and worship. Muslims are expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam. The fast (sawm) begins at dawn and ends at sunset. For the start of Ramadan the starfish and turtle children painted crescents and stars which they will make into hanging mobiles. The dolphins and sharkies learnt what Ramadan is all about through discussion during group time and making glittery lanterns.

24.01.2022 This week the Dolphin children continued with their learning about shapes. They took part in texta drawing different shapes. They watered the garden as the weather is getting hotter. On Friday it was national thank a cop day which they looked at a variety of police cars and police officers in uniforms. It was also national talk like a pirate day, they painted pirate ships and learnt a pirate song for the day.

23.01.2022 what an amazing day the sharkies children had learning about how does the stomach acid work. As you can see from the demonstration with children that the Alka seltzer simulates the food we eat. When you drop it in you can see the bubbles starting up and the Alka seltzer starting to deteriorate in the water/oil. This is just how stomach acids work when we eat food. It interacts with the food and your stomach starts to roil and broil (okay it doesnt really do that but it sure does sound cool) and it all moves around just like the Alka seltzer and bubbles as shown in the pictures.

23.01.2022 International Left Handers Day is an international day observed annually on August 13 to celebrate the uniqueness and differences of the left handers. The day was first observed in 1976 by Dean R. Campbell, founder of the Lefthanders International, Inc. It was created to celebrate sinistrality and raise awareness of the advantages and disadvantages of being left-handed in a predominantly right-handed world. It celebrates left-handed peoples uniqueness and differences, a subs...et of humanity comprising seven to ten percent of the world's population. This day also spreads awareness on issues faced by left-handers e.g. the importance of the special needs for left-handed children, and the likelihood for left-handers to develop schizophrenia. FUN FACT There are approximately 708 million left-handed people in the world. Men are more likely to be left handed than women :) SO HAPPY LEFT HANDERS DAY EVERYONE!! See more

19.01.2022 This Week at Happy Feet Fitness, we learnt about colours and shapes. We started by looking at my magic colouring book, but oh my! Someone made all of the colours and shapes disappear, so the children and had to practice drawing a triangle, square and a circle so we could do some magic and put all of the shapes back into my book. We then played a game called the shapes game, the children had to use their listening ears and see which shape matched the description. Next, it was time to meet my special friend Karla the Chameleon who reminded us to wash our hands before we showed off our amazing dance moves in our Expression Session :)

To help us learn we danced and sang to a song named Between the Flags while doing some cool dance moves with a red and yellow lifesavers flag. Next we meet Ollie the Octopus who invites us to an under the sea party with all of her ocean friends. We met a sea horse, a starfish, and even a shark, just name a few. Lastly, we read our sense book together and played the sense games where all the children had to identify which body part and sense its used for. Of course our Happy Feet class wouldn't be complete without some dancing and magic! :)

The exact cause of SIDS is unknown, but theories include environmental stressors such as sleeping on the stomach or side, overheating and accidental suffocation from soft objects or during bed sharing. Proposed... methods for reducing the risk of SIDS include putting the child on their back to sleep, providing a firm mattress with no loose bedding and in a relatively cool sleeping environment. Our Kinderland educators showed their strong and passionate support for this cause by painting their noses red and wearing their pyjamas. If you would like to support or donate to the Red Nose Foundation go to www.rednoseday.com.au See more
