22.01.2022 Good morning KinderLink Families, We hope you all are surviving Term 3 and are able to enjoy this amazing weather that we are having. The Department of Education have announced that sessional Kindergarten will be returning in Term 4. This means that all our 3 and 4 year old children will be able to return to their normal kindergarten classes.... We're so excited to be able to see you all again!

18.01.2022 On advice from the Victorian Department of Education and Training, KinderLink kindergarten programs will resume as per normal for Term 3 on Monday 13th of July. All enrolled children are welcome to attend their usual sessions. If you are planning on keeping your child at home for the time being, please let their teacher know.... As per last Term, each kindergarten will continue to carry out strict hygiene and social distancing measures. The government and KinderLink requires children, parents and staff who feel unwell to stay home, get tested and not attend kindergarten to help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. Stay well and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

14.01.2022 Good afternoon families... The only information we have currently received from the Department of Education is that kindergartens can run sessions as normal, up to and including Wednesday. We are still waiting for clarification as to which children may attend after Wednesday. ... We will update you all as soon as we have been provided with this information. On a different note... thank you to all of those families who have submitted 2021 application for enrolment forms over the last week. We have been inundated with current and new families that will be joining us next year. We send you our very best wishes in the meantime and look forward to a time when we can see everyone back at kindergarten again. Warm regards, KinderLink

10.01.2022 As you are all probably aware by now, Daniel Andrews announced over the weekend that as of 11:59pm Wednesday night it will be mandatory for people over the age of 12 to wear face coverings in the Melbourne region and Mitchell Shire which includes us here in the Yarra Ranges. In line with the above, the Department of Education and KinderLink will require any adult entering a KinderLink kindergarten to be wearing a face mask. Our KinderLink teaching staff will be wearing masks ...during drop off, pick up and temperature screening in the mornings. Any adult that is unable to wear a mask due to medical reasons will be asked to provide a medical certificate. To try keep our staff and KinderLink families safe and well, any adult that refuses to comply with the new policy will not be able to proceed beyond the kindergarten gates. Please ensure that any adult (parent, carer, grandparent etc.) who may be at drop off or pick up is aware of this policy. Masks do not have to be medical grade, but they must cover the mouth, nose and be close fitting. There are other options to wearing a mask, if you do not have one - scarf, bandana, hand made mask or face shield. For more information on the government requirements regarding mask use please refer to https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/face-masks-covid-19 We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these crazy times. 05.01.2022 In the latest update from the Victorian Department of Education, we are being ‘strongly encouraged’ to implement temperature screening at all our kindergartens. The Department has advised that as fever is a common symptom of COVID-19, temperature screening is one intervention that can help identify the presence of illness. Testing will help ensure those who are unwell remain at home, reducing the risk of transmission. Temperature screening will take place each morning, as of... Monday 13th of July during the drop off/sign in process. Any child found to have a temperature 37.5 degrees or above will need to stay at home. We will continue to share updates and changes as they come through.

04.01.2022 The Victorian Government are providing funding for 4 Year old Kindergarten next year which allows children enrolled in a 4 year old program to attend for free. There will be no Term fees charged for children attending a 4 Year old KinderLink kindergarten class. There will also be funding provided for the 3 Year old program, reducing the cost of children attending 3 Year old kindergarten. KinderLink will be in touch with our 2021 3 Year old families to advise what fees will be.
