20.01.2022 As we embark on week two at Kindikids we wanted to share some tips to support a smooth transition for your children at #Kindikidselc: 1 - Involve Your Child In The Process This could include preparing their backpack or choosing an outfit for the day! ... 2 Focus on the positives! When facing resistance from your child in the lead up to drop off, establish a calm dialogue and focus on highlighting the positives and exciting experiences that he/she will encounter in the day ahead: growth, discovery, play, learning, arts & craft, making new friends, new adventures. 3 - Redefine goodbye time Ensure that there is a clear and calm farewell period at the beginning of each day. By showing that you are clam and confident to your child, in return they too will grow in their confidence. 4. Daily Highlights KindiView At the end of the day, engage with your child and ask them about their day. We recommend going though the KindiView posts with your child, allow them to showcase the highlights of their day and explain what they did and with who throughout the day. The most important thing is to always provide a safe and welcoming environment at home and at school.
