25.01.2022 Kuro Sparkle Skivvies have arrived. An old fave done this year in black ~ stretchy velvet with a screen printed golden sparkly stripe. A bit jazzy, very comfy, machine washable, tough and warm! Mine two seasons later is a good as ever, but it’s pink, so I’ll be having this one today. Treat yourself x

15.01.2022 As a small business owner you get told a lot: to outsource, delegate, work ‘on the business not in the business’ ....But I get a real buzz from enacting my own vision and a gaining new skills. This flashback to a special day ~ the 1st time I shot my own lookbook, back in March... it was the last normal thing before lockdown and the last time we could have people in the studio.... I had an amazing team of supportive ladies around me that day, and together we aced it ....it’s been a long time between shoots but with luck another one soon!

Bábbarra is governed by women, for women, to enable future enterprises that support healthy and sustainable livelihoods. You can shop online or just love it when your walking past! We have a range of French flax linen tea towels, table cloths and aprons.

08.01.2022 Big thanks to Melbourne for continuing to social distance these last couple of weeks (yes months)! We're feeling optimistic and excited to re-open in the not too distant future. Beautiful Jade here in our Cornflower Denim Jeans and In The Heath Spring Jacket- both almost sold out!

08.01.2022 New jeans a little reward for a big week, I’ve worn them two days straight, maybe all weekend too! Cut from thick lustrous black pincord, the Coal Jeans with just enough stretch to ride a bike or whatever, the waistband is elasticated but only in the sides. Super comfy Winter investment I think Size 10 And 16 have sold out, but more are coming.

06.01.2022 Our store is 2 years old this week BUT Kindling is about 12... it means I'm wrangling both a toddler and a teenager simultaneously :) Here I am picking out all the colours in the pockets-fabric shop. I miss the fun parts of this wrangle, and I miss seeing customers faces when they put their hands in the pockets of a Kindling garment for the first time, and love how big, strong and soft they are. Here's to many bright pocket-filled days ahead!

06.01.2022 Hai, Nina here, Kindling head-lady and designer. You may have met me having a good time over the years. I like beautiful everyday things, sparkling textiles and well cut pants. I like balance and really like it when small aspects of my outfit match... like my bra and nail polish :) I have an 18year old son who taught me yesterday ‘outfit’ is not a word any more.... it’s a ‘fit’... so yeah, you heard it here lol, probably not first, ‘cos I’m also a self proclaimed luddite in both technology and pop-culture. Kindling is my ever evolving project. I’m super proud of our beautiful space, clothing and all the women we represent. I’m surrounded by all the things I love and listed above, everyday. I invite you to come share them with me!
