Cost is $20, with $5 from every persons attendance being donated to the Kindling Foundation. DM or email Nathan at [email protected] to attend.

22.01.2022 2019 was an amazing year and through all of your donations and love we were able to reach out and lend a hand to many. We are not your traditional not for profit, we are a small team of passionate souls that help voluntarily, with 100% of ALL donations going to the projects. Together with all of you, we sure do impact many lives in South Africa. Again, what I saw so clearly on our most recent visit was the positive impact from our collective fundraising, donations and positi...ve energy can make. Heading across to see Maria and the kids was magic this year. Twice which was a treat. We upgraded Maria's house with the money raised by our annual volunteer group and it looks amazing as it was in terrible condition. The volunteer group left feeling really happy that the family is now comfortable in their home. The kids were so ecstatic, some even shed a tear or two wanting to go to sleep early just to be in the new cozy beds. click below for our highlights from the past year and what all of our supporters funded through donations. As you can see, your love really has changed hundreds of lives. Thank you <3 https://mailchi.mp/b3321a1/kindling-foundation-2019-wrap-up

20.01.2022 I grew up in a world where a women who looks like me, with my kind of skin and my kind of hair was not considered beautiful. I think that it is time that stops today. I want children to look at me and see my face and I want them to see their faces reflected in mine Congratulations to Miss Universe 2019 from South Africa @zozitunzi An important moment in history were a black women passionate about the rights of women has been given a powerful platform. A women that young African girls can look up to and be inspired to become leaders and know their own worth.

19.01.2022 Did you know that educating girls can help with climate change?? @projectdrawdown estimates that by giving girls access to education and family planning, we could reduce 105 gigatones of CO2 emissions by 2050. Today, more than 263 million children are out of school and 130 million of them are girls Getting more girls into school, and giving them a quality education, has a series of profound, cascading effects: reduced incidence of disease, higher life expectancies, more econo...mic prosperity, fewer forced marriages, and fewer children. Better educational access and attainment not only equips women with the skills to deal with the antagonizing effects of climate change, but it gives them influence over how their communities militate against it Palesa, pictured above with @thehuntofmandy is an orphan which means no birth certificate. In South Africa attendance is not possible without one. After months of work with social workers, lawyers and local school we were able to help get Palesa into school. She is now in Grade 2 and loving it!

16.01.2022 Nothing but vibes.

14.01.2022 Maria Gaba has given her life to protecting and caring for children in South Africa Currently at her home she is caring for 30 children. Kids that would have been on the street or in a government orphanage without her open heart and love Her home is in desperate need of a renovation. The tiles are broken, the roof is leaking, the kitchen stove doesn’t work, taps are broken, windows are broken and the list goes on... We are raising funds to fix Maria’s home, to make it comfortable and functional for her and all the children 100% of all donations go straight to the project. You can kindly donate here www.kindling.org.au/give Thank you

13.01.2022 A big shoutout to one of our long time supporters Pia for using her birthday to raise $1000 to support Kindling. Over the years Pia has donated thousands to help support the education of kids in South Africa. Pia, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you! We hope you have a beautiful birthday.

12.01.2022 Those little chubby cheeks

11.01.2022 Access to education shouldn’t be determined by a child’s gender, yet 130 million girls globally are out of school and 15 million girls of primary school age will never even enter a classroom Educating girls gives them the freedom to make decisions to improve their lives, which has deep social implications. Giving girls access to schooling is a central part of eradicating global poverty, educated women tend to be healthier, participate more in formal labour markets, have fewer children and marry later.

10.01.2022 Even in the most challenging times don't forget the joy, love and human spirit that resides in us all. <3

09.01.2022 A few years back we built our first school in South Africa. The Kindling Lervato Chreche. The creche has been closed for months due to COVID and now with a demand from parents and the government allowing kids to return to school we can open Many requirements must be followed for us to open back up including: the purchase of a thermometer to check the kids temp on arrival only one teacher per 10 children ... uniforms for teachers removal of toys adding sanitizer and hand washing stations certified full clean of the chreche We would love your support to get the school back open. Link in bio.

07.01.2022 The Kindling Foundation also supports a disabled home in Dennilton South Africa. A home of 35 beautiful humans with severe disabilities that were abandoned by their families Rose who runs the home was hand washing all the clothes, which you can appreciate on the daily is a lot! Especially when many of the people that live their can’t communicate when they need to go to the bathroom. So Christmas came early and a brand new washing machine was just delivered to the home. Now Rose and the team will have more time for themselves and to care for the people who live there This beautiful home desperately needs a new fence, buildings, bathroom facilities and transport. It’s our 2020 mission to make sure this happens. If you feel called to support click the link on our bio

06.01.2022 Kindling Family During this time of a massive global pandemic, there are those who are blessed to live in countries with community, government support, and health care systems. Those who can take the time to isolate, buy enough food to get them through, and be present and still in their homes. Then there are those in countries such as Africa without adequate health care, who don't have the means to pre-purchase a week's groceries or lose all of their income due to government... shutdowns and closures of businesses. Those who do not get a single cent of government support. Kindling Foundation is a small, volunteer grass roots charity and we need your support to continue helping Maria and her family during this time. The businesses that we helped set up over the years are currently not making income, the crèches are closed and there are no jobs. We are raising money to provide food to the family. The family of 29 children who have been taken under Maria’s wing, freed from a life of abuse. If you can spare even $5 this would be a bag of rice. Every dollar counts. We know that this time is tough on many across the globe, including here in Australia. We ask if you can, to spare a little as a little goes a long way during these pressing times. www.kindling.org.au/give 100% of ALL donations will provide food for the family. Donations are tax-deductible. Thank you!

06.01.2022 90 children attend this pre school in Windmill Park, South Africa. That’s 90 little mouths to feed daily This school is a safe haven for many kids in the area, without it they would be walking the streets.

06.01.2022 Drink wine. build water wells in Uganda :) Our friends over at http://bridgitwater.org have partnered with Little ripples wine and $5 from every sale will be donated to build clean water wells. Grab your wine to water here https://www.littleripples.co/

05.01.2022 The biggest heartfelt thank you to @discoyoga and the @yokeyoga team for running a Xmas day class and donating the proceeds to kids education. Thank you

05.01.2022 So excited for our team to be with these beautiful kids in a matter of days. They are like family to us and it’s always too long between visits.

03.01.2022 Dancing into the week like Palesa.

02.01.2022 The kids from both pre schools that we support in South Africa have been closed for months due to COVID. This has left the teachers without work who have had zero government support. Our organization were able to provide some funds to the teachers to assist them in buying food for their families but not enough. When these schools are open they act as a place of refuge for many children, a place where some kids receive their only meals of the day We are hoping to get the schoo...ls open as soon as possible to not only provide the teachers with work and purpose but to provide a safe place for hundreds of children In order to get the schools open the South African government has a large list of mandatory requirements that each school needs to follow ~ but there is no financial support from the government to help them comply Many of the kids parents can’t afford to send their children to school as they have been out of work for months now with no financial support It’s a deeply challenging time for the South African community and we are here to do our best to support them We are raising funds to help get these children back to school, to provide the teachers with wages and fund the children who’s parents can’t afford to send them to school If you feel called to donate please click www.kindling.org.au . 100% of all donations go to the projects and are tax deductible Thank you
