21.01.2022 Not everyone chose to wear a Christmas hat. They did all enjoy a little festive platter though. Merry Christmas x

20.01.2022 Christmas can be so many things. Happily we were able to bring a lady out to visit her 2 dearly loved pet sheep Daisy and Garth. They were separated from her back in winter due to domestic violence. Daisy and Garth are loving characters and have been living here happily at the sanctuary. Their human mum was so happy to see them. The horses rescued by Animal Rescue Cooperative arrived here and are looking content. They've been through a lot with the drought, bushfires then th...e flood. Anne their owner has done an amazing job to keep going under very difficult circumstances. She's exhausted and relieved but basically homeless as her caravan was flood damaged. If you can help her please contact us or better still the Animal Rescue Collective to donate or offer accomodation. Sadly this morning an overnight koala rescue ended tragically when the koala had to be euthanased for various reasons (under instructions of Port Macquarie Koala Hospital ) A huge thank you to Emma from New England Veterinary Services for giving up some of her Christmas Day for this koala. 20.01.2022 We are so lucky to have people like John Lemon and Dave Carr helping koalas in our area. The video link below is theirs, the other photos were taken here at Kindly Sanctuary in January. There is currently an Australian NGO with plans to purchase a property that is already known koala habitat with a view to preserving and potentially enhancing that habitat. The property can be anywhere but I would love it to be in our New England area in NSW. Ideally the property might be a m...inimum of several hundred hectares or it might be much bigger.... All EOI are welcome and will be explored. If you have such a property please contact Stringy Bark Ecological through the link to their baby koala video below. Or contact John at [email protected] Or contact us and we can pass the information along. http://stringybarkecological.com.au//do-you-know-what-a-b/ See more

20.01.2022 Merry Christmas. Sula the camel said next year one of the younger camels can take over his photo gig. A huge thank you and lots of love to all our animal supporters whose help enables us to rescue more animals and look after our resident rescues x

13.01.2022 Baby Atticus the piglet arrived at Kindly Sanctuary today to begin his happily everly afterly life where he joins 7 other pigs and over 100 other rescued animals. He was saved from misery and certain death by Kathie from the The Contented Pig Inn rescue and moved over to us. So good when sanctuaries can work together. #animals #love #rescue #pigs

13.01.2022 Having a bit of a facebook messenger malfunction where I can't see messages although it says there are messages. If I haven't responded to any messages, assume I haven't seen them and please phone or text 0439922350.

11.01.2022 Today I attended the Regional Koala Conservation Stakeholder Forum hosted by Southern New England Landcare in Armidale NSW. A big thank you to the hosts and other participants. I felt great hope with the ideas and plans we worked on during the day and will keep you updated as things progress. If anyone has great ideas to help preserve habitat, save koalas, raise funds etc it would be good to hear from you. There is an app called I Spy Koala app you can download to report koal...a sightings. Every Australian really needs to get involved to save the iconic Koala. Think of them as your own. Be outraged that they are disappearing from our country. We want everybody involved. Is there some way YOU can help ? #koalas #extinction #armidale #help #habitat #trees #stopclearing #koalacredits

09.01.2022 Lovely to see this wild koala mother and baby at the sanctuary today. Particularly after the Christmas Day koala tragedy here. #koala #animals #love #trees #sanctuary

09.01.2022 3 happy rescue dogs with 2 happy rescue pigs having a morning meeting. Pumpkin looks like he didn't get his own way so heading back inside to tell me about it.

09.01.2022 This is Caterpillar as a baby. For those who followed her journey on this page she started life at just 200 grams and was a bottle fed rescue pup. Cat remains at the sanctuary as she started having seizures at a young age and is a high care, high cost much loved rescue pup. The cause of her seizures is unknown despite a lot of veterinary specialist care and she will soon have an MRI in the hope it shows what's going on. The cost of rescues, rehabilitaion, rehoming or keepin...g all animals in need at the sanctuary is high. We are so grateful for the generous donations made by people. Recurring monthly donations are fantastic so if you or anyone you know can donate $5, $10, $20, $50 or any amount monthly helps a lot. One off donations are welcome too. 03.01.2022 This is the new and amazing state of the art NFP Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital who will accept any wildlife in need of veterinary care. Pictured here is Bree the Head Vet with Steve the CEO and Founder. Such a pleasure to meet these humble legends last week when I took a very sick koala to them. Please donate and support them. 02.01.2022 A massive thank you to Uralla vet Jo Hoad for going above and beyond today and giving up her Saturday evening to try and give this very sick koala a chance to live. I think the roads to Port Macquarie koala hospital may be closed after floods so we'll probably take her to Friends of Koalas hospital at Lismore. https://kindlysanctuary.samcart.com//general-donations-page
