23.01.2022 Working directly with kids was never something I had envisioned for myself, and now I couldn’t imagine my life without it! It’s strange to call it ‘work’ as its more of a lifestyle now. I remember 4 years ago stepping into the Royal Children's Hospital, to meet my first ever client, and leaving there feeling like my whole world had just become better by witnessing the joy, love & compassion that echoed through the corridors of a place... that is filled with so much sadness. The families & children I work with thank me daily for the relief I bring, and I thank them all the same for allowing me to be their person. I thank them for being my constant source of optimism, perspective and growth. I always thought my passion had been found in Ambulance work, and that nothing would give me the same buzz. But these kids, they have completed me. I am so lucky and honoured to be part of their lives and each and every one of them has taught me a lesson I could never forget. 22.01.2022 The inspiration behind the name, Kindness Kare. The name Kindness Kare has two parts to it. The first being how strongly I value Kindness. I believe that kindness is a gift that is innate to us as humans, meaning we are all capable of allowing it to shine through naturally and that there is no excuse to not just simply, be kind.... The second being that I wanted something unusual and wanted my personalised touch to it without having my name directly in there, and that's why "Kare" is spelt with a K to represent me.
