25.01.2022 Those pregnant weekend feels.. We hope everyone has something nice lined up for the weekend (featuring ice cream as desired)! If you are in need of something to do tomorrow afternoon, we have had last minute openings for 2 couples to attend our antenatal classes. If you would like more information or want to snap a spot up, please call the 24h clinical number and chat to our midwife.

25.01.2022 It’s that time of year.. For any of our Kindred families who aren’t part of our Kindred Catch Up and haven’t seen the event page, we are holding our annual family morning tea tomorrow. Our last catch up for the year will be our Annual Kindred Christmas, welcoming all our Kindred families to get together to celebrate your little Kindred additions and the festive season. We will get together Wed 9th Dec 10am-12pm in the shade at Mowbray Park, East Brisbane. Bring along a pi...cnic rug and some morning tea and catch up one last time for the year (Ps. if you have had a baby with Kindred and you aren’t on our Kindred Catch Up page, search the group and add yourself, we have a lovely closed Facebook group to continue our Kindred community well beyond your baby’s birth)

25.01.2022 Another good news story to bring you joy. Well done to the team at Gold Coast University Hospital for upholding family centred care while ensuring clinical safety. We know there is much fear about birthing at the moment, and we are here to talk you through anything thats on your mind. As this article outlines, there are constantly changing guidelines being released for us to be mindful of also - but one thing is for sure.. we absolutely continue to recognise that this is a...n incredibly special time for you, and bringing your baby into the world wont become a clinical spectacle. Kindred welcomed 13 babies last week, no additional or drastic precautions were taken, all are well, all are at home/going home with their parents. These babies will keep on arriving, and they will keep filling your hearts with an abundance of love. Try not to engage in the horror stories, were here with you to ensure your birth is as it should be.

23.01.2022 Wishing our own Dr Meghan Stafford a very happy maternity leave! These two little munchkins are preparing to be promoted to big and even bigger brothers in a few weeks time. We look forward to hearing your exciting news soon!

23.01.2022 1 in 10 babies are born too early and today, on World Prematurity Day, we want to give thanks to the amazing teams in NICU and SCN at @matermothers who help some of our own little Kindred miracles grow. We want to provide encouragement to the parents who are faced with the prospect of leaving their babies in the hospital long after they been discharged themselves, and mostly we want to wish strength to these resilient premmie babies, who are born fighting and continue to amaz...e us every day. . We are so fortunate to provide care alongside the most expert team of neonatal intensive care doctors and nurses, and we are incredibly grateful for the amazing care they provide. . . #worldprematurityday #premmie #materlittlemiracles . @matermothers

23.01.2022 K I N D R E D O B S T E T R I C S Kindred is home to many wonderful clinicians, who work together under one roof providing individualised care to women and families. We are very fortunate to have these two outstanding obstetricians call Kindred home. Both Dr Will Milford and Dr Vincent Loh provide preconception counselling, and specialised care during pregnancy, labour and birth. Dr Loh also provides provides fertility services for families who need additional support to h...elp their families grow. There are lots of reasons so many families choose to have their care with one of our obstetricians; for the benefit of having one person oversee their entire care, due to risk in pregnancy which requires specialised obstetric management, or simply because they’re two of the most caring and women-centred obstetricians you’ll come across. And top blokes to boot! Thanks for another amazing year at Kindred Will and Vincent - for caring for your families so holistically, for your ever present clinical expertise, support of our midwifery team, and for many many laughs and good times.

22.01.2022 Is there a happier place to visit on Mothers Day than a whole building full of brand new babies and mothers?! We know family members visiting are restricted, but we certainly made the most of our visiting today at @matermothers Kindred has had a baby boom just in time for Mothers Day, with 17 Kindred mums and 18 Kindred babies to see on ward round today. We have had an exceptionally busy couple of weeks, but the last few days in particular with 9 Kindred babies arriving b...etween Friday morning and Saturday afternoon! It was so lovely to see them all to wish them, and all our Kindred mums a very happy Mothers Day. We hope you all enjoyed some time with your families.

22.01.2022 Happy International Midwives Day to our amazing team and all our midwifery colleagues! We are all about celebrating midwives everyday, but especially today we want to acknowledge how great is to be midwives, to know midwives, to have the support and care of midwives, and the profound impact midwives have on not just the birth of babies, but the birth of mothers too. We have an amazing team of midwives at Kindred, who have paved the way for a woman centred continuity model, ...working around the clock to be with families every step of the way. Being a midwife takes an incredible amount of drive, passion, knowledge and skill - and we want to take some time today to acknowledge our whole team, and to give special thanks (and farewell ) to one of our original Kindred Midwives, Mel. Many of you will have come to know Mels light hearted sense of humour, which we have loved having as part of the team. We have also come to know Mels second-to-none work ethic, constantly going above and beyond for our team, and the families we care for. This has been an incredibly invaluable part of Kindreds growth, and we absolutely couldnt articulate in words the thanks we have for the impact she has had. Mel is moving away from midwifery into a career in corporate health, and the midwifery profession is losing a great asset, a quiet achiever, a good friend, and a loyal colleague. We wish you all the very best Mel!

22.01.2022 We have some exciting news..... This is Erin, and we are absolutely over the moon to officially introduce her as part of the Kindred Midwifery team! Erin has been working hard behind the scenes at Kindred for a few months now, helping many of our new mums transition to life with a newborn on home visits. However she will soon be transitioning to a full time position, including clinic appointments and being on call for labour and birth. Hooray! ... We are so pleased to welcome Erin on board, and know she will be an amazing addition to our team. Erin has been a midwife for 12 years, has four kids of her own, and brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and and a well-rounded approach to providing family-centred care. We welcome you to book an appointment with Erin in clinic, and look forward to you all getting to know her too. Welcome to the team Erin - we are super stoked to have you!

22.01.2022 Those Monday morning feels. Spring has well and truely sprung at Kindred, so many families growing, the days are long and warm (and some nights seem even longer) but worth it for all those squishy newborn cuddles. ... @littlelovelanephotography See more

21.01.2022 love, thats where weve been. Our socials have been a bit distracted by a rush of baby love of late. This particular lovely (and very long) house of love came with a very special baby just yesterday. A second Kindred baby for this family, a little brother, a sweet addition to their family.. and to ours. #continuitymatters #ourkindredcommunity #family #birthdayboy

21.01.2022 In light of recent Covid exposure at a neighbouring hospital, visitor restrictions are now in place at Mater Mothers from today. - 2 support people in birthsuites - 1 support person only on the wards - masks will be required ... We appreciate this may impact your plans for welcoming your baby in the coming weeks. We hope this swift response will lessen the risk of ongoing community transmission and reactions will be lifted as quickly as possible.

21.01.2022 An excellent article from COPE about helping new mums adjust to feeding their baby. At Kindred we are all about enabling families to feel prepared, supported and fulfilled with feeding a new baby. It is a big responsibility, and one often accompanied by anxiety as you and your baby learn together. We are here to help, and have a range of other supportive health professionals we refer to, to ensure every family can access the help they need, whether that be with breast or b...ottle feeding. https://www.cope.org.au//first-weeks/breast-bottle-feeding/

21.01.2022 Guess who is back? Our long time Kindred families will already know our midwife Bekki, who has had some time off to spend with her gorgeous family over the last 18 months. She’s returning to Kindred in a casual role between now and early next year and will be doing some clinic appointments as well as a small amount of on-call with the midwifery team. For those new to Kindred since Bekki has been off, we encourage you to book an appointment with her if you are due to have you...r baby with the Kindred Midwives over the next few months. We trust you will all enjoy getting to know Bekki, we are certainly happy to have her spending some more time at Kindred again!

20.01.2022 That sure is ‘A’ whole lot of love! Dr Loh welcomed the newest member of this family recently, to proud big siblings and parents, all with uniquely aligned names. Amazing!

20.01.2022 Happy Monday! Here is a little bit of sweetness from our weekend How lucky are we to be a part of welcoming these little people?! ... #bestjobintheworld #midwife #obstetrician #waterbirthbaby #welcometotheworld #ourkindredcommunity

19.01.2022 Happy Grandparents Day to all the special people in our little peoples lives. Whether a grandparent for a few short weeks, or one with years of grand babies under your belt. Be you a grandparent by blood or simply with enough love to share for those near and dear. We are privileged to witness the love of grandparents frequently in our jobs - we love seeing their sense of pride, but most of all the special place they hold in the place of their grand-babies lives. We know many... of you are missing special times with these special people - but know that their love is still just as strong. So go on, if the grandparents in your lives are all up on their social media game, give them tag, show us your fave pic, and send some love this Grandparents Day #grandparentsday #aintnolovelikeagrandparentslove

19.01.2022 A relatable article for those of you experiencing pregnancy and birth during the COVID pandemic. 19.01.2022 Its diabetes awareness week, so we thought we would share some information about diabetes in pregnancy - what it is, why it occurs and how it is managed. Approximately 15% of pregnant women will develop gestational diabetes in Australia. Some will require monitoring only, some need medication, and some may go on to have recommendations for their birth, but it does not mean the baby will have diabetes. We recommend women are screened for gestational diabetes between 24-28we...eks, as although there are some factors which increase risk, approximately 10% of woman diagnosed do not have pre-existing risk factors. If your screening shows you do have gestational diabetes, our midwives will show you how to test your blood sugar levels at home and our team will work together with you to ensure your gestational diabetes is well managed. We welcome you to ask any questions you have about gestational diabetes, screening or management at your next appointment. https://www.diabetesaustralia.com.au/managing-gestational-d

19.01.2022 Our Dear Kindred families, As we enter a second wave of increased COVID-19 risk within the community, we want you to know we are here for you, we are here with you, and want you to feel comfortable, up to date, safe and supported. Over the weekend Mater Hospitals released an updated visitor policy (see our previous post), which outlines changes to restrictions on support people and visitors within the hospital. Please ensure if you are due to birth in the coming weeks, you... are up to date with what this means for you and your family. From today, Mater have implemented a requirement for all health care workers and visitors to wear masks in the hospital setting, and for patients to wear masks unless in their hospital rooms. Following these recommendations, you will also find the Kindred team wearing masks when in our clinic rooms, as an extra precaution. We dont require you to wear a mask when you come for an appointment, unless you choose to. We are doing this to do our part to protect ourselves, the community, and the precious lives we care for everyday. We will restrict our waiting room numbers to 10 people, so encourage you to be mindful of overcrowding before entering, or be in contact with our admin team to ensure we are ready for you to attend. As always, hand sanitiser is accessible at the entrance for your convenience. Our approach at Kindred is to be vigilant, but not alarmist, to trust the experts implementing these recommendations, but to also recognise the impact this has on the families we care for. Please dont hesitate to be in touch if you have any general questions, if you are concerned, or if you feel overwhelmed. For General information: Queensland Health has expanded its list of venues where exposure may have occurred. Anyone who has been to these locations at the times specified should monitor their health and if they develop any COVID-19 symptoms, even mild, get tested. The updated list is available at: https://www.qld.gov.au//cor/current-status/contact-tracing. To find your nearest fever clinic, visit: https://www.qld.gov.au/covid19testing.

18.01.2022 A little sneak peek at a new little life. A whole person who fits perfectly into this tiny little being, just waiting to learn about the world and all the love you have to give them. We are so lucky to be able to share in these moments every day, and love looking back at Kindred births like this one, to cherish being a part of it all over again. Being with families during this time is made even more special by the relationship we have with them. Continuity in maternity care... counts for so much, and it’s exactly why we have set Kindred up the way we have. This room was full of familiarity, connection, and comfort as this sweet girl entered the world, because this family trusted our team to be with them every step of the way. This little princess is just minutes old, and already so loved. This amazing shot, and many others of this birth were captured by @elana.mullaly.photography . . #birthdaygirl #birth #continuityofcare #continuitymatters

18.01.2022 What a welcome party! . . Our midwife Maddie had some hands on help from a special someone to lift this baby up on to mums chest. Did your partner help welcome your baby? ... . Lots of partners are a great support - but happy to stay at the head end.. which is absolutely fine. But for partners we tend to find the anticipation of what seeing your baby being born might be like is in fact quite different to the feels on the day. Regardless of how much or how little input you would like to have in helping to bring your baby into world, we promise you this - in that moment, the only thing on your mind will be the amazement of your baby.. you will feel overcome, overwhelmed, you will be proud, you will be elated. (Youll probably cry - thats ok too)! . It will be different to how you thought you would feel, because you wont think.. you will just feel. . . #allthefeels #supportthesupport #ourkindredcommunity #midwife #obstetrician #birth See more

16.01.2022 Over the weekend, visiting restrictions were implemented at Mater Mothers to align with updated COVID recommendations. We acknowledge this can have significant impact on an important time for our Kindred families, so want to ensure you are up to date with the changes. Please dont hesitate to be in touch if you have any questions or concerns.

16.01.2022 Its always ok, to say youre not OK. . . Today on R U OK day we highlight how important it is to check in with each other, to ask the simple question if someone is ok, and most importantly acknowledge that its always ok to say youre having a hard time. .... . It is often the expectations we have of ourselves to have it all together, all of the time. But know that nobody else really expects that of you, and having some times during the journey to pregnancy, throughout pregnancy and certainly afterwards where its all overwhelming is OK, so long as you feel comfortable to listen to yourself when you need to have down days, and if its bothering you, please reach out and say so. . . Also know that the team at Kindred are here for whatever you need, not just the physical aspects of pregnancy, but to care for you, as a whole, as a person, as a family. . . #ruok #ourkindredcommunity #perinatalmentalhealth #ruokday #ruokeveryday

16.01.2022 W E L C O M E We are so thrilled to announce the newest additions to our midwifery team are up and running! Many of you might have already met Erin in clinic, and helped welcome her as she transitions up to a full time midwife role at Kindred. Erin will join the on-call roster in the coming weeks, and we are so excited that she will be caring for families in labour and welcoming Kindred babies soon. ... We are also really excited to welcome Charmaine to the team. Charmaine started with us this just week and will also be part of the core midwifery team. She brings with her a wide range of midwifery experience and her bright and bubbly personality is a fantastic addition to Kindred. Charmaine will be in clinic getting to know all our Kindred families over the next few weeks, and we welcome you to book a consult with her. We look forward to everyone getting to know Erin and Charmaine, and very much trust you will feel at home with them. We really appreciate the understanding of all our families as we make changes within our team. We know how much knowing and trusting your team is important, and its really important to us that everyone feels comfortable. We farewelled Mel and Tina from our team last month, and the remaining core midwives Kaitlin, Maddie and Tracey have been working hard to maintain continuity for our families while we recruited into these positions. Our midwives are hand picked to ensure they are well aligned with the Kindred philosophy and hold knowledge and experience that enables them to provide comprehensive care as private midwives. They have additional qualifications to their midwifery registration and go through an extensive credentialing process to be able to provide labour and birth care at Mater Mothers Hospital. So, a massive congratulations to Erin and Charmaine on joining us at Kindred - our team, along with the families we care for, are lucky to have you!

14.01.2022 Flu season is almost here, and as you are likely aware, it is strongly recommended pregnant women have a flu vaccine. Our flu vaccines have started arriving in small batches in clinic, so we encourage you to have one at your next routine appointment with us. We arent able to vaccinate partners, and are only allocated a certain number of vaccines. It is not a case of running out however, as we will continue to have vaccines arriving in small batches throughout the season.... In some circumstances they may be subject to availability at the time of your appointment, but we are doing our best to ensure we always have some on hand. For more information about flu (and whooping cough) vaccination recommendations, check out the QLD Health information below.

14.01.2022 Were so lucky to have our own in-house womens health physiotherapist at Kindred. Specialised physiotherapy during pregnancy, after birth and beyond is an integral aspect of womens health. 13.01.2022 Friday feels.. We hope everyone has a relaxing weekend, with lots of time spent with family, and maybe some outrageous celebratory outings 50kms from your home! Almost all the babies we helped welcome last week are home now, settling in with their mums and dads and siblings. April was a record month for us, with almost 40 Kindred babies arriving. Last week carried on with a big baby boom.. 17 babies in less than a week!! but this week we have had a chance to catch our brea...th, spend some time with these new little humans, and support their mums and dads settle in at home. As always, thank you to the families that choose to share their journey with us, and to our amazing Kindred team for all your hard work, dedication and passion.

13.01.2022 Its World Breastfeeding week! This years theme is Support breastfeeding for a healthier planet. In line with this theme, WHO and UNICEF are calling on governments to protect and promote women's access to skilled breastfeeding counselling, a critical component of breastfeeding support. . . The benefits of breastmilk are widely known, and we continue to learn more about just how amazing breastfeeding is for a mother and baby. We also see first hand that breastfeeding can s...ometimes be far from an easy journey for many. We know that access to skilled and supportive health professionals that are well aligned to walk this journey with you is paramount. . . Kindred is about to embark on an exciting new and improved postnatal support program, allowing our families comprehensive support, improved continuity and greater access to our midwives in the first 6 weeks after birth. 12.01.2022 Following our previous post on updates from Mater Mothers Hospital (scroll down on our page if you missed it last week), The Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, along with the Australian College of Midwives, have highlighted the importance of women to feel well supported by partners and care providers. There is a lot of talk out there there about women having to birth alone - this is not the case at Mater, and especially not for famili...es at Kindred. Yes support persons and visitors are restricted, but the governing bodies which hospitals and care provider take guidance on these issues from have not lost sight of the impact these changes have on women. Pregnancy and childbirth are such an important time in a womans life. We must work together to safeguard womens mental health, experience during birth and facilitate and support parents connection with their newborn babies. Please be sure to reach out to us by calling the 24h clinical number if you want to chat about your circumstances or concerns. https://ranzcog.edu.au//statement-on-covid-19-and-support-

10.01.2022 Welcome all the babies - especially our little Kindred additions!

10.01.2022 We know the latest Brisbane lockdown will leave some people feeling confused, concerned and frustrated. It is important we all do our part to keep our community as safe as can be, and to make sure we have clear, relevant and up to date information. So we wanted to outline what this means for your time with us: - we remain open for appointments, however you are welcome to change your appointment to teleheath if this is your preference, you are unwell, or you or a family memb...er are at risk. - our team will be wearing masks while in clinic and at the hospital, and we ask you do the same (except when in labour). - visitor restrictions are in place at @matermothers for two support people in labour/birth setting and one person only on the wards. These visitors are not permitted to change during your stay, and children under 16 are sadly not able to visit. - our home visits will continue as planned to help support you and your baby at home. Our midwives will be wearing masks, using minimal equipment and implementing strict hygiene and cleaning measures. You are welcome to reschedule if you prefer, or if you or a family member are at risk. - we are here for you 24/7, just as we always are. These precious babies you are growing and preparing to welcome are unaware of what’s going on around them, so our care and commitment to you is no different during these times. We understand for some it can be stressful - emotionally and practically, as you balance changes to work, daycare, school, Easter plans and family well-being. Please call our clinical number if you need to chat to our on-call midwife or obstetrician about your concerns. #staysafe #stayhome #babiesdontstopforpandemics #midwife #obstetrician #ourkindredcommunity

09.01.2022 This week brings together two occasions that individually are so worthy of recognition, but as they coincide, it brings to light a poignant reminder of how they impact each other: for both families and us as care providers alike. They are Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day (Oct 15th) and Queensland Mental Health Week (Oct 10-18th). We are privileged to care for families in some of their happiest and most joyous times, and equally in their most difficult. We are fortun...ate to work alongside many colleagues and community support groups in providing the most tender care to families during times of loss, grief, emotional turmoil and mental illness. These times are hard for us too, as midwives and obstetricians - especially in a continuity model such as Kindred, where your family becomes like ours. We grieve with you. We feel the loss, our hearts break with yours and we heal together through helping to see your families becoming whole again. These experiences shape us as care providers, just as much, and sometimes moreso than the elation the well known parts of our job brings. We gain knowledge, experience, strength and character as midwives and obstetricians, which allows us to continue to help families through the toughest of tough times. So, thank you, to all the families who have entrusted us to walk that walk with you. For feeling safe to call us at 2am to say you aren’t coping, to open up to us and explain you don’t feel how you think you should towards your baby, to accept our referral when we recognise you need support beyond our means, to hear our explanation of difficulties and navigate through unpredictable diagnosis and prognosis during pregnancy. And especially for the honour of having us there to help welcome your beautiful children, whether they’re healthy and well or born already having passed away. . #midwife #obstetrician #waveoflight #mentalhealthawareness #ourkindredcommunity

09.01.2022 We’re all about creating a practice of like minded people - but our obstetricians have taken that to a whole new level, dressing almost identically on the same day We are incredibly lucky to have Will and Vincent at Kindred, and equally appreciate their likeness in their calm, attentive, and relaxed approach to caring for families - but we will let you decide: who wore it better?!

09.01.2022 Today we celebrated an upcoming birth for our own Kindred family! Our amazing midwife Maddie is finishing up this week, to have a short break before welcoming her own baby in the next month or so. We know how much of a special role Maddie has played in welcoming so many Kindred babies, we are so excited for her to now be counting down the weeks until she welcomes her own! We know she will be an absolutely amazing Mum and we cant wait for lots of baby cuddles in clinic when he or she arrives!

08.01.2022 Hello. Good morning. Happy birthday We often find discussions about cesarean births are initiated with trepidation, as there continues to be an assumption that all cesarean births are stripped of the beauty that birth brings, whereas quite the opposite is the case. Yes, some are fast, unplanned and life-saving, but still beautiful. Some are planned after an informed and supportive decision making process - and are just as special. The biggest difference we find in positiv...e birth experiences (regardless of whether cesarean or not) is whether you feel a part of any decision making process. Here we see this gorgeous birthday girl being welcomed by Dr Milford and Kindred Midwife Kaitlin, to overjoyed parents, in a safe, happy and love filled environment. You might be able to tell by the squinty smiling eyes above our theatre masks, this was a very happy moment for us and the family alike. @samanthabrycephotography

07.01.2022 Just in case your weekend needs to be capped off by a big fat dose of love. These Kindred brothers are just too much To help couples become parents is one thing, but to witness the children we helped welcome then welcome their siblings is indescribably special. And this isnt simply cos were big oxytocin junkies, but because we know them, not as patients, but as families.

07.01.2022 A really good starting point for changing the way we look at preparing for parenthood. Talking together about the reality, the hard parts, your expectations of each other and the roles of those around you is a far more essential part of preparing than any items that you can buy. Many of these things are not considered and may not come up in conversations prior to your baby arriving, but can shape your experience as parents and the journey you are embarking on together. ... Thanks COPE for sharing

06.01.2022 People were congratulating me, but I felt like I was drowning 1 in 10 women experience antenatal mood disorders, and this is an honest account of the trials pregnancy can bring for many. It is important we recognise and talk about the struggles, we acknowledge the hard times in what most expect to be a joyous time, and mostly the fact that its ok to say youre not ok.

05.01.2022 Hooooraaaay!! Well done Brisbane! We can’t wait to see the beautiful smiling faces of families meeting new arrivals. ... Remember to keep your visitors to a minimum in hospital, to protect the precious few days you have to get to know your newborn when they arrive - but it’s a relief to know that if it’s important to you to have them there, they’re now welcome again.

05.01.2022 VISITOR POLICY UPDATE AT MATER Happy Friday - visit restrictions are lifted! While we have actually seen some positive aspects come out of restrictions to visitors while in hospital, we know that many families will be delighted to hear all visitors are now welcome at Mater. ... Please continue to be mindful of how special and sacred those first few days with your baby are, and we encourage you to allow them to be as uninterrupted as possible - but if it is important to you to have your nearest and dearest come in to meet your new addition, they’re all welcome now!

04.01.2022 Introducing Bela We are so thrilled to welcome this amazing midwife to our core midwifery team. Bela is well known to our team, as she is an experienced midwife who has worked at @matermothers for many years. She welcomed her own baby at Kindred at the end of 2019, and after taking a break for maternity leave, we have been lucky enough to snap her up into our clinical team! Bela is joining our team part time, and she compliments our full time midwifery team (Charmaine, Tra...cey, Erin and Kaitlin) with her well-rounded clinical experience, down to earth personality and holistic approach to midwifery care. Welcome Bela! We are so thrilled to have you

04.01.2022 Its been a while since weve had a Kindred family update... Kindred midwife and Director Kaitlins little girl, Navy, was 9 months old yesterday! The Kindred family is growing again! - Our midwife Maddie is expecting her own baby in a couple of months, and will take a break from helping others welcome their babies from the end of August. We are so excited for Maddie and her husband, and very much look forward to introducing her little one to our Kindred community too

04.01.2022 Sometimes our first hello looks a little different to how we planned, but how lucky are we to have the amazing specialists and facilities of Mater Mothers on hand when we need them. Birth and babies sometimes take unexpected turns, and having a team by your side that you know and trust to help you navigate these hurdles makes a big difference. #continuitymatters

03.01.2022 Ill just be here, snug in my mums hospital bed if you need me. Apparently its windy outside anyway Kindred welcomed a record 17 babies in the first 6 days of August(!!) so, like this little one, were cherishing some time to rest and recharge, ready to continue to be there for our families throughout pregnancy, birth and transition to life at home. This week our midwives have resumed postnatal home visits, we have welcomed new team members and recommenced our grou...p antenatal education courses. All systems go! With thanks to our kindred families for choosing us to share this time with you, to our team for your ongoing dedication and passion to provide exceptional care, and to our own families at home, who miss us when we are helping other families grow. Full hands, full hearts #ourkindredcommunity #deliveringchange #midwife #obstetrician #bettertogether #teamworkmakesthedreamwork

01.01.2022 Happy International Women’s Day to all the women that work with us, and all the women we work with. The word midwife literally means ‘with woman’ and we are so lucky to have both a team of exceptional women at Kindred, and to share in the strength of the women we care for every single day. A collection of some of our fave snaps from some very talented birth photographers, and some from our very own iPhones! @brisbanebirthphotography @hw_photography @elana.mullaly.photograph...y #whereeverydayisacelebrationofwomen #iwd2021 #midwife #withwoman @ Mater Mothers
