22.01.2022 Diving into the weekend like.....

22.01.2022 When a cloudy area develops in the lens of your eye, its called a cataract. Once a cataract starts to interfere with your vision, the best option is surgery. In this procedure, we remove the cataract and replace it with a clear, artificial intraocular lens (IOL). Contact the team at KindSIGHT if you would like to find out more about cataract surgery.

Eye cancer does not always cause obvious symptoms and may only be picked up during a routine eye test. If you would like more information on eye cancer see the below link to RANZCO: https://ranzco.edu//08/a4-information-sheet-on-eye-cancer.... And if you have the means please donate to the Cancer Council for Daffodil Day. https://www.daffodilday.com.au/donate

13.01.2022 National Diabetes Week 2020 is on from July 12 - July 18. Diabetes doesnt just affect your body, it can damage your eye health as well. Many people with diabetes type 1 or 2 develop diabetic retinopathy, and the symptoms can be so subtle that you may not even be aware of them. Left untreated, this condition can cause permanent vision loss, or even blindness. If youve noticed symptoms including blurred vision, blank areas, spots, double vision, oversensitivity or difficulty seeing at night, or you have a family history of diabetes, you may be at risk. Be sure to check in regularly with your Optometrist.

05.01.2022 Campaigns such as Mens Health Week (15-21 June) advocate for men to have meaningful conversations about the factors that keep them healthy in both body and mind. Unfortunately research shows us that men are far less likely than women to visit an optometrist for a regular eye exam which is critical for early detection of glaucoma. Check out the below link from Glaucoma Australia for more information on the gender differences in eye health. https://www.glaucoma.org.au//working-together-for-men-s-h/
