17.01.2022 Get to know our #KINDendorsed recruits a little better: Yvonne Hong is the founder of Pets Of The Homeless Australia and a kindness advocate. As the CEO and founder of a volunteer-powered organisation that supports people facing homelessness with their companion animals, Yvonne changes lives for the better every day. What began as a personal mission to provide food and veterinary care for pets in need has grown to encompass emergency boarding, foster care, social partnerships..., and Victoria's first Pet Food Bank. But Yvonne is also leading a larger grassroots movement to shift community perceptions about people facing housing instability and the value that pets play in our lives. Yvonne was recently named as one of the winners of the 2019 Impact 25 award which recognises the most influential people in the Australian social sector for her work with Pets of the Homeless. 11.01.2022 Get to know our #KINDendorsed recruits a little better: Disability worker Bronte Hendricks believes in changing preconceptions about what people with disabilities can do. While working in her day job where she helped young school-leavers with disabilities to find work, Bronte realised young disabled people had few opportunities to enjoy experiences others take for granted.... This lead to the development of Stellar Experiences, a unique tour company that organises social and recreational activities for groups aged between 16 and 35 with mild to moderate disabilities and mental health conditions. Stellar Experiences provides access to common activities enjoyed by other young people. These include going to the footy or a music festival, visiting a winery, kayaking, skydiving, camping trips and even overseas adventures. The tours are safe, supportive and age-appropriate and provide opportunities to build friendships and have fun. We love Bronte's passion and drive and we are so proud to welcome her to the KIND Endorsed team.
