23.01.2022 Junior Kindy Our JK friends explored sensory play today as they engaged with glittery play dough. Play dough helps children to not only explore senses, but also serves an important purpose for future hand writing skills as it builds the muscles in the hands and hand dexterity. Cutting, chopping, kneeding, rolling, squishing - play based learning is fun!!!

19.01.2022 Our Friends had a great time today with a visit from Zoo to You!!!! We saw so many amazing wildlife creatures!!! The excitement was shared from children to staff! It was interesting to see two of our girls enthusiastically petting a crocodile but hiding from a lizard!! Overall it was an amazing experience that captured the interest of our little friends and also helped to build an awareness of the beautiful creatures that we share this earth with.

10.01.2022 Our PK friends explored sensory play using bubbles! The children dipped, blew and shook the bubbles, exploring the way they felt, the way they looked and the way they interacted with other mediums like water and air. This activity is fun and a great bonding exercise while also introducing the children to early learning science vocabulary - evaporation and elastic; and maths skills - location and sorting. Amazing way to have fun, get squeaky clean and learn!!

08.01.2022 Play based learning is full of moments where children are exposed to foundational skills of early learning. As they play with a puzzle they explore Bishops maths concepts - sorting, locating, design and counting. As they dig and build in a sandpit they are investigating early construction and maths skills. Cutting builds hand dexterity readying children for future writing skills. So much can happen in a few moments of wondrous fun!

08.01.2022 Kindy Zone Manoora is proud to include a cultural program that focuses on the cultures of the community, the children and the staff. Miss Zita implements our Cultural Program, creating warm learning environments that encourage children to investigate their cultural identities and that of their peers. The kindergarten class explored country flags, building colour and shape identification and discovering what the flags of our world look like.
