23.01.2022 Sharing in the excitement of a first swimming lesson is an honour I am lucky to have repeatedly. Along with the excitement of the first lesson often comes the s...econd and third lesson ... where a new swimmer is more ‘knowing’ and will want mummy to join them in the pool. Often this brings tears and fear. Separation anxiety is common for young children and to be expected at some point as they develop. When this happens @kindyswimqld the response is child specific. Some children respond well to distraction and just getting on with the lesson, while others need a softer approach. For example, mum/dad/au pair/grandparent sit with us and we allow the child to feel in control of their entry and actions within the pool. This can result in slower progress but in most instances only takes a few lessons and is stress free for all involved. Making swimming lessons a positive experience is one of the foundations on which @kindyswimqld is built on. One-on-one lessons allow for an individual approach for each child as they embark on their journey to a lifetime of fun in water !! #justkeepswimming #summerishere #brisbaneswimming #lessonsforkids #swimforfun See more

22.01.2022 Celebrating World Autism Day ... @kindyswimqld we recognise that we all learn differently and individual lesson plans are tailored to fit the skill level and goal of each student.

18.01.2022 Parents who take their children to swimming lessons ... a big to you. These figures are most certainly blown out by foreign visitors swimming @ Australian beaches this summer (and the article these pics are taken from certainly focuses on that) but it is the same message. Swimming is a life skill we can give our children with the hope they use them wisely as they venture out into the big wide world #itisnotallaboutswimmingraces

13.01.2022 No lessons tomorrow .... enjoy your EKKA Holiday ! #brisbaneswimschool #kindswimqld #justkeepswimming #skillforlife

12.01.2022 It certainly has been a October but all swimmers @kindyswimqld have now had their first lessons for Term 4. The unique pay-as-you-swim structure offered by @kindyswimqld takes the stress out of attending swimming lessons and allows for flexibility. However, the importance of attending regular lessons cannot be over-emphasised. Regular lessons are imperative if skills are to be learnt, developed and maintained. This is particularly important for toddlers and pre-school aged children when long-term skill retention and muscle memory are starting to develop. #justkeepswimming #skillforlife #brisbaneswimming #summerishere #kindyswimqld

08.01.2022 Hope all the dads got a cuddle, pressies ... and hid their toolboxes today !! #couldyouimagine #noooooooooooooo #kindyswimqld #brisbaneswimming #winterswimming #justkeepswimming

05.01.2022 Birthday Balloon for Lucy ... one of my 2yr old swimming ‘s! Celebrating milestones for kids is important & FUN. Swimming milestones for 2yr olds include being able to blow bubbles or hold breath for 3 seconds, simultaneously kick & paddle, submerge independently, reach grab & hold onto the wall, back float & just be HAPPY!! #kindyswimqld #winterswimming #justkeepswimming #brisbaneswimschool

04.01.2022 How wonderful is this waterproof sleeve. My niece broke her arm the last week of school (what terrible timing ) and put into a full arm cast BUT she hasn’t missed a moment of summer fun thanks to @bloccswaterproofprotectors . I have never seen one and just had to share ... hoping we never need one (or you ) but good to know these are available. @kindyswimqld #summerfun #justkeepswimming

04.01.2022 This is Esther... she is not an @kindyswimqld swimmer. She is one of my children and having fun at swim club.

02.01.2022 Most swimmers join @kindyswimqld lessons because they have experienced the water wobbles ... either through a bad experience, little exposure or simply a personality thing! Building trust is very important with such kids. Harrison still has the water wobbles and is so frightened of sinking. Now he has mastered his breath control and submersion he is well on his way to swimming independently. Both his mum & I are so proud of him. Watch this space ! #kindyswimqld #justkeepswimming #swimmingbrisbane #winterswimming #swimmingisfun #austswim

02.01.2022 The sticker after lessons is of utmost importance to 3 & 4 yr olds ... and today it went missing . Well, Buddy & I found them and have topped up supplies for next week!! Apologies to Rose, Quinn, Shark, Kingsley, Poppy, Henry, Charlie, Emma, Harry & Camilla (you are my Wednesday ‘s).

01.01.2022 Slip Slop Slap ... and rehydrate. We sweat in water too so keep the kids drinking plenty of fluids while they play in the pool. #justkeepswimming #brisbaneswimming #lessonsforkids #kidscanswim #austswim #summerishere
