24.01.2022 Pelvic Floor Health Talk Review- wow I’m still processing the amount of information we dived into on Saturday.... Our Guest speaker delivered such nuggets of information that really boosted our capacity as practitioners to serve our clients well. A specialist Physio in women’s health , Christine Waddell has many years of first hand experience ..... of everything you can imagine and more. ... Not only did we look at incontinence both urinary and faecal, but we looked at prolapses, muscle types and their response to the exercises she took us through- did you know it’s going to be a good 6 months of building up to the necessary PF strength for this hammock system? The affects of gynae radiation, the shortening of the vagina after a hysterectomy, the pressure of fibroids, the best position for urinating and for pooping; kids hyperactive bladders... I could go on! As I said loads to process..... The double bonus was that we could promote Kinesiology to a fellow health practitioner...... we’ve raised the profile of our amazing modality and where it could work alongside womens health practitioners... We went on to integrate knowledge and illustrate the importance of cross referencing to check the many risk factors that influence the PF...... along with a demo for testing the main 4 PF muscles using the work of Dr Beardall, Chiropractor... Margaret Davis, Kinesiologist and Independent Kinesiology Trainer took us through this section with her usual professionalism and thorough referencing and research. So grateful that she shares the same passion as I do, to provide these opportunities to build on clinical knowledge. thank you to all the Kinesiology Practitioners who could join us, for their thirst to learn and expand their clinical understanding!

19.01.2022 At our recent Cycles of Qi event, John took us through Entry-Exit blocks - arising when the Qi is not flowing freely from one meridian to the next..... creating either a complete or partial blockage of Qi flow. One of the new techniques for assessing this was through taking the pulse of the client which you can see John demonstrating below.... Entry-Exit Blocks...... - have you added them to your tool kits and had chance to apply them yet.....? ... Would love to hear any feedback from using them in your sessions.....

07.01.2022 Thinking about all things to do with Pelvic Floor Health as I organise the final pieces for our Practitioner talk this Saturday in Perth - Thought you’d be interested in this article...... Do you have your ticket for Saturday yet?

01.01.2022 MTHFR Talk What an incredible turn out of Kinesiologists! So great to see so many of you investing time in getting a better understanding of this highly impactful topic, affecting so many health issues. This talk was an ‘Introduction’ but we were all blown away by the enormity of detail and understanding that our guest Naturopath Tracy Gaibisso took us through.... Variations of this gene and enzyme can impact cardio-vascular health, mental health and mood, respiratory issues, sleep issues, migraines, fertility, miscarriage, thyroid health, anxiety.... and SO much more. Margaret Davis, Kinesiologist and Lecturer then took us through a thoroughly cross-referenced and integrated guide of resources, protocols and approaches from the Kinesiology point of view to use & incorporate this knowledge into our sessions. This talk put the importance of methylation firmly back on our radar and encourages us all to get out those methylation notes, refresh our knowledge and to go and seek further studies in this area. There were some practitioners unable to attend and recording it was not possible - we are taking expressions of interest for running this talk again, so please comment below if that interests you and spread the word.
