Loved it because, here Science is not taking us towards getting rid of sufferings, but is talking about working towards something else..... "Only we humans worry about the future, regret the past, and blame ourselves for the present. ... We get frustrated when we cant have what we want, and disappointed when what we like ends. We suffer that we suffer. We get upset about being in pain, angry about dying, sad about waking up sad yet another day. This kind of sufferingwhich encompasses most of our unhappiness and dissatisfactionis constructed by the brain. It is made up. Which is ironic, poignantand supremely hopeful. For if the brain is the cause of suffering, it can also be its cure."

Both these states have the potential to disturb our peace of mind! ... However, how often do we just observe our thoughts? Practicing mindfulness meditation helps us observe our own thoughts without being judgemental about them. It takes us to a place of peace, free from sufferings caused by emotions. A place of equanimity, where the mind is no longer moved: it does not grasp at pleasant things; it is not repelled by unpleasant things. Our mind attains deep, deep balance, like a calm, deep flowing river. Out of this mature place of equanimity, conditions arise that open our mind suddenly to the unconditional freedom!



21.01.2022 Every second we label things as:- Right-Wrong, Good-Bad, My way-Not my way. ... Our sufferings begin the moment we do that because nothing lasts. Neither what seems to be right, good or my way is permanent nor what feels wrong, bad or not my way lasts for ever. Happiness lies in not clinging to happiness for long and not hating or avoiding to be sad. Be brave to let go of happiness just the way as you would want to let go of worries!
