15.01.2022 Repost courtesy @jackhammered_ "Fastest 60m today 7.6 with 2.3% Body Weight loading on the lower body ! You certainly don’t feel as fast with that on, but at the end of this block and the next I’m hoping to get some big changes before I open up my season late this year (lockdown pending)... Cracking the 11 second barrier will be my toughest challenge yet and will take the most amount of effort I’ve put in so far in my journey. But that’s also been apart of the planning. It always takes something different or more to get you to the next level and this wearable resistance among a few other things are on the plan leading into this season. Please check out Jack’s brave and impressive recovery story after a horrendous motor cycle accident left surgeons saying he wouldn’t sprint again. 02.12.2021 Re-Post Courtesy Aussie 100m and 200m sprinter Maddie Coates @maddiejade27 I am so grateful I now have access to such a brilliant bit of equipment from @kineticsportscience. This equipment (WR) not only helps me feel the position I need to be hitting while running, but it has allowed me to run without any pain or discomfort from my current injury (osteitis pubis & hip dysplasia). ... Thanks to my rehab program @myphysio_evolution @athleticbody_official and now this awesome piece of equipment I am able to slowly transition perfectly back into my running, and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The way Wearable Resistance (WR) is being applied is to build & develop sport specific speed, agility, musculoskeletal conditioning through loading athletes in small percentages of their body weight - so maximising Transference, from training to sport specific activity. WR is also used for athletes returning from injury as the athlete can be lightly loaded while doing their sport specific rehabilitation or movement development such as change of direction or correcting a muscular imbalance. #kineticsportscience #sprinter #athletetraining #improvethewayyoumove #strongwomen #wearableresistance #speedandagility #trackandfield #performance #elite #fasterstronger #theedge #resistancetraining #physiotherapy #improvingathleticperformance #lilaexogen #sprint #speedtraining #australiantrackcoach #athletics

13.11.2021 Repost courtesy @myphysio_evolution : Discipline: 100m / 200m... Meet Sprinting Superstar Maddie Coates and learn how a positive perspective shift has turned lockdown into an opportunity to improve. I have been taught to always find the positives that come within each negative situation. This lockdown has been a blessing in disguise for me with my athletics. It has given me the time and the opportunity to go back to basics. I have been able to work on the finer details of my movement patterns and truly get in touch with my bodies abilities. It has most importantly allowed me to get on top of my painful injury, and on the path to a stronger version of myself. Lockdown has tested me beyond what I ever thought I could handle but I have taken it all within my stride, with a lot of patience, persistence and an amazing support team I have been able to keep a positive mindset towards my training and rehab. I have learnt to never limit the power my mindset holds on the way I perceive different situations. I have been able to adapt really well with my new training set up. I turned my backyard into a home gym and that is where I work closely with my coach, who I live with. This is where my rehab, gym and bike sessions all take place. I worked out very quickly it was important for me to set mini goals to reach during this time to maintain a sense of accomplishment and progression. Through the combination of both the lockdown and my injury that wouldn’t allow me to run, I have found beauty in the struggle of doing simple things that prior to this injury were taken for granted. So when I return I will have a new found appreciation for exactly how much I love to run, and the fire I my belly will be bigger than ever before. Kinetic Sport Science excited to play a small part with Maddie and her amazing team. #athletics #sprinter #track #trackandfield #wearableresistance #improvethewayyoumove #kineticsportscience
