24.01.2022 Doing his thing

23.01.2022 Lifestyle photography sessions are very different to studio or portrait sessions. I used to try and explain it by saying they are about getting candid shots and there’s no formal posing. But the more sessions I do, the more I realise whilst there are definitely lots of me sneakily capturing images you don’t know are being taken, there are many moments of me suggesting ideas that I know will create a beautiful image, whether it be toss your child in the air, tickle dad, kiss m...um, walk on the beach, twirl around and just have fun!! I think it’s important for families to know this, to reduce the fear of argh... what do we do!! My most very favourite images are when I can show the connections and emotions between the family. I will try to get one postcard picture of everyone looking at the camera, for the grandparents or family members that might like that style cos it’s a thing. I realise I should stop saying I don’t using ‘posing’ ‘cosI kind of do. I just don’t use ‘props’ .....except for my new bubble machine that I love.... maybe more than the kids! See more

23.01.2022 When your rainbow shorts are the most favourite of favourites, and have to be worn on the outside ALWAYS!

23.01.2022 Photography is the like the art of freezing a moment of time. We all know how quickly the days go by, especially when you have kids. Really, it can all become a bit of a blur. And whilst we think we’re going to remember every bit of our babies as they grow into new stages, sadly the memories fade. We’re living in a lucky time where it’s easy to snap away on our phones, to get the sweet shots, but if we’re honest, how many of those photos make it off the phone or computer. My kids loved ( actually still do love) seeing their past through old printed photos. I only just wish I had more, and that I was in more with them! What do you want to remember most?

22.01.2022 Anyone that knows me well, knows I believe every birthday is worthy of a festival! But there are some that call for even bigger celebrations. And what better way to celebrate than to be surrounded by your family! And even better, capture the love and connections of your kinfolk! I mean really.... look at the love , the joy and the delight here! Such a beautiful woman with two of her gorgeous grandkids Thanks for the privilege of being a part of your special day!

22.01.2022 Sisters! I don’t have one (add 3 older brothers instead! Sometimes I have sister envy. Sometimes I don’t ! I have my substitutes though. The sisters I’ve chosen and inherited ... Watching these two gave me a little girl/ sister envy. They giggled and laughed with each other like I imagined sisters do (mostly / sometimes?). Welcome to our #creativep52clicks journey! 09.01.2022 There something very joyful about watching a mama and her daughter dance like no-one is watching! Such a delight! Hopefully there will be lots of delight amongst the family when they open their gallery today which is sitting in your inbox @meaganmakinson_76

08.01.2022 When I was asked by Mia's mum if I would take some photos for the new Celebrate T21 book, to say I was delighted and excited, is an understatement. I felt so honoured. Just look at her! Not only is she 10 out of 10 on the cuteness scale, but she is strong and determined and rocking life! Nothing is stopping this girl! Watching the connections and the love between this family filled my heart... Mia's parents have chosen 6 of their favs for the Celebrate T21 book . These books are gifted to families receiving a prenatal or postnatal diagnosis of Down syndrome, as part of a gorgeous Celebrate T21 gift pack. The aim is to extend the network of book distributors, so that more people have access to the positive messages shared in the book, and to educate the community about T21 and remove the outdated stigmas associated with Down syndrome. Thanks Lisa Bentley . You guys are amazing! Celebrate T21 Meet Mia
