21.01.2022 To the guy who broke into our unit next door, the manometer you stole along with other things is useless to anyone but us, it is used to service life rafts and jackets, return it to us no questions.
21.01.2022 And as the 27th entry we have Inukshuk a Northshore 37 skippered by Robert Large. Inukshuk will only be racing in the passage race to Port Vincent.
20.01.2022 160 days to go. If you enjoy twilight racing, you will have a ball at the 2021 King of the Gulf Regatta in Port Vincent. This is a very popular, inclusive, inexpensive regatta and we would love to have you join us.
19.01.2022 If you enjoy twilight races then you will love the 2021 King of the Gulf regatta. The Notice of Race will be on our web site on the 1st October with Early Bird nominations opening on the 31st October. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE.
19.01.2022 Go Sailing They Said... It Will Be Fun They Said...
19.01.2022 We were suffering from a mal functioning calendar and celebrated 150 days to the 2021 King of the Gulf regatta too early. Perhaps we were just too keen. On track now. Today is 190 days to go.
18.01.2022 Bit light on the Race back from Pt Vincent today. SE initially and lifted 2/3 of the way across. Then the wind died completely and came in from the west before ...shifting back to the south. Not quite as much fun as yesterday when we did the 28NM in 1hour 40min in 15knots SSE and even took out the honours on handicap. Thanks to Greg & Carol Patten for donating the lovely trophies for the winners.
15.01.2022 Looking for crew to join us on Gizmo, mid Sept to sail from Tahiti to Fiji. Food and unlimited fun in return for watch keeping and help with chores! Sailing, surf, dive, cooking skills advantageous, limited space, let me know...
13.01.2022 Nomination #31 is the CYCSA's Brenton Pegler on his Sydney 38 "Playground". The nomination of Playground will make the monohull racing division a large and very competitive fleet. Welcome Brenton and your crew.
12.01.2022 Last night we saw Phil Tassicker give a guided tour of the new Anchorage Guide for SA website. The site covers 130 anchorages and marinas from Ceduna on the SA West Coast to Port Fairy in Western Victoria.

06.01.2022 Nomination number 5 for the 2021 King of the Gulf. The gentleman of multihull racing Gerald Valk will be back with his team + a new super dooper USA North Jib. Great to have you back guys.
06.01.2022 We have doubled our entries in just one hour with Greg Patten and G-Wizz joining us once again.
04.01.2022 Nomination number 33 is the Jeneau 40.3 "Sundog" with Michael Edgar at the helm. Sundog was an entry in 2016 and has since cruised extensively around Australia. A hearty welcome back Michael and crew.
02.01.2022 THE KING OF THE GULF CHANGES DATES: The Multihull Yacht Association of South Australia, in conjunction with the Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron, have decided to move the 2021 King of the Gulf regatta from the 19th -23rd of February forward one (1) week to the 26th February -2nd March. This schedules the KOG regatta one week after the Adelaide Lincoln race. We know that the iconic Adelaide to Lincoln race and the King of the Gulf regatta package will encourage more inte...rstate yachts to race in South Australian waters. Our expectation is that this will take immediate effect in 2021 with both Victorian and NSW yachts planning to travel to S.A. after the Geelong regatta and their associated national championships. We are confident that South Australia now has a package mirroring the very popular Airlie Beach Hamilton Island regattas. Interstate yachts can now participate in the Geelong series, travel to South Australia, do the Adelaide Lincoln race and then either, the Lincoln Week regatta or travel back to Adelaide and do the KOG Passage race to Port Vincent, the KOG regatta and then finish with the KOG passage race back to Adelaide. 2021 Dates Wednesday 17th February CYCSA and RSAYS Twilight race Thursday 18th February Adelaide Lincoln race briefing Friday 19th February Adelaide Lincoln Race Sunday 21st February Adelaide Lincoln Race Presentations. Monday 22nd February Lincoln Week Tuesday 23rd February Lincoln Week Wednesday 24th February Lincoln Week Thursday 25th February Lincoln Week Thursday 25th February King of the Gulf passage race briefing (RSAYS) Friday 26th February KOG Passage race to Port Vincent Saturday 27th February KOG race 1 and Race 2 Sunday 28th February Orontes Beacon Race Monday 1st March KOG race 3 and race 4 Tuesday 2nd March KOG Passage race Port Vincent to Adelaide Wednesday 3rd March CYCSA and RSAYS Twilight race.
01.01.2022 These boats would be at the 2021 King of the Gulf except for the bar across the marina entrance. Pity.
