13.01.2022 SATURDAY IN-FOCUS: GOD WANTS YOU TO SUCCEED (2) ‘I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.’ 3 John 1:2 . Jesus said, ‘What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?’ (Mark 8:36 NKJV) And to drive home His point, He told the story of a rich man who died and went to hell, while a poor man on his doorstep went to Heaven. Bottom line: nothing is more important than your salvation!... . But God also has a plan for your life, and He wants you to succeed. John writes, ‘I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.’ Note the phrase ‘in all things’. That includes your health, your mental and emotional well-being, your family and relationships, your career and finances. . ‘All things’ meansall things! There’s not an area of your life that God is not interested in or that He won’t get involved in when you seek Him, obey Him, and honour Him. In the Old Testament, He said, ‘Keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.’ (Deuteronomy 29:9 NKJV) And in the New Testament, Jesus said, ‘But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.’ (Matthew 6:33 NKJV) . Aren’t you totally invested in the success of your children? When they succeed in life, don’t you celebrate with them? Well, as His redeemed child, your heavenly Father is invested in your success and celebrates it with you. So start praying and believing Him today for success in all your endeavours. . 04.01.2022 Maybe you need to hear this today

03.01.2022 SATURDAY IN-FOCUS: GOD WANTS YOU TO SUCCEED (1) ‘All these things shall be added to you.’ Matthew 6:33 . Some people think that God’s sole purpose is to save their soul, help them become as morally upright and as spiritually mature as possible, and one day take them to Heaven to live with Him. And in a sense that’s true.... . But here’s what isn’t truethat God is not interested in your job, your health, your relationships, your finances, or your dreams and goals because somehow those things are carnal, worldly, and temporal. When you think like that, you ‘spiritualise’ every promise you read in Scripture, and when you pray, you believe the only thing God wants to do is help you become more spiritual. . Let’s look into the Scriptures and see what God really says about this. The truth is, in fact, the exact opposite (see Joshua 1:8; Isaiah 48:17; 3 John 2). By maintaining that God plays no part in your achieving career success or financial security, you’re contradicting His Word. And when you do that, you’re on dangerous ground, because you’re making yourself the sole source of your success, and the Bible calls thatpride! . What Jesus taught is this: ‘Do not worry, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or What shall we wear? For after all these things the Gentiles [who do not serve God] seek For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.’ (Matthew 6:3133 NKJV) So let’s be clear: God wants you to succeed in life for the right reasons, and He wants you to have all the things you need to do it. . SoulFood: Matt 17:19, John 19:2527, Rev 1:111 . (Thanks to Vision's Word For Today) See more

02.01.2022 SATURDAY IN-FOCUS: You Must Respond With Grace. . ‘You must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour.’ 2 Peter 3:18 . How do we overcome past hurts in relationships? How do two people combine separate and unique perspectives to create a satisfying and loving relationship? There’s a very special ingredient called ‘grace’ that must be added to the mix. It calls for extending to the other person the same grace that God extends to you. It bandages broken people and... permits the defeated to develop winning ways to escape their pasts. It gives strength to those who struggle to be functional in areas where historically they’ve been dysfunctional. Grace restores the heart and resolves the troubles of a tormented spirit. It uplifts through loving-kindness and forgiveness. It calls in the favour of God. And, as He bestows it on us, we should extend it to those who need our compassion and love. . We are all broken in certain areas, and we need to learn to accept that, and to help mend the brokenness in others. Peter didn’t believe he was capable of denying his Lord. He swore he would never do it. But Jesus not only predicted it, He promised to pray for him until he was fully restored (see Luke 22:32). And we are called to do that too; to extend to other imperfect people the same love and grace that has been shown to us. . Paul wrote to the Thessalonians: ‘We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds towards each other.’ (2 Thessalonians 1:3) . And Peter adds, ‘You must grow in grace.’ It’s a process, so you’ve got to work at it! . SoulFood: Lev 23:2625:55, Mark 1:3539, Ps 50:1623, Pr 10:47 . (Thanks to Vision's Word For Today) See more

01.01.2022 HOW TO PRAY WITH YOUR SPOUSE Prayer helps us grow closer to God, unites us around His will, empowers us to avoid temptation, and strengthens us in our faith. Whether you’re single, dating, engaged, or married, your relationships will become stronger when you PRAY together. . If the thought of praying with your spouse feels "awkward" or "intimidating," here are a few tips to get you started. .... 1. Keep it short. 2. Keep it consistent. 3. If you miss a day, don't miss two. . #thoughtoftheday #lifechurch See more
