21.01.2022 Hi Everyone I’m Renee my partner Buzz and I own a commercial fishing trawler in #Lakesentrance. Although we haven’t been directly affected by the fires we ha...ve indirectly, As we sell Fresh Prawns and seafood off our trawler during the prawn season. The mass evacuations have had a devastating effect on the tourism within our region and the flow on effect to all of us is massive. We have gone from have 15/20 people lined up of a morning to buy seafood, to now having a couple of customers per hour. The fishing hasn’t been great for the last 2 years due to the drought (drought on land drought in the sea). But we have managed to tread water up until now. I’m hoping by sharing our story you could all like and share our Buisness page King Prawn Seafoods Lakes Entrance. And if you ever come to lakes call in and grab some delicious fresh seafood from us, or just have a chat. We really need the tourist to come back for us to recover. Hope to see you all soon. 19.01.2022 FREE Fish. For all Bermagui and surrounding communities, we are going to work tomorrow and will be given fish away to anyone who wants some fresh seafood in t...hese trying times. Will share a time for tomorrow afternoon. Will be at the fisherman's wharf. We can gill and gut fish for those who can't. But if you can do your own, that would be good. Also, only take what you need for 1 good feed, as we want to spread it out for people. Will confirm tomorrow from sea of the amount and species. Also, as fishing is hit and miss. No garantee on anything. But just getting it out there now. So it will be at the Bermagui Fishermans Wharf in the afternoon. Time to be confirmed. But again, will see how the day goes. Would be good to share some fresh seafood with people who have had a tough time in the last week.. See more

04.01.2022 Monday afternoon at Welshpool, we came across these very promising signs on the Furuno, FCV-295. We anchored and set the trap. We ended up pulling 3 snapper off... this, Andrews one being around 3kg, mine 6kg and Pauls around 4kg. Thanks to some trusty King Bait & Berley pillies and the help of a reliable sounder. As you can see very clear image of what we would call textbook snapper marks.
