24.01.2022 Ooooh #ScienceWeek coding activity ! Did you know we offer a free Swift Coding Club in partnership with Kingston Library? Keep your eyes out for the next one. In the meantime you might want to download the Swift Playgrounds App (Apple) and have a crack at this great activity created especially for Science Week IOS/Apple device required.

24.01.2022 We have two last minute spots with our lovely staff member Sietske. Storytelling with the Bee Bots is a lovely way to incorporate literacy, numeracy and early learning coding. This session is for ages 5 plus and is a parent/child activity. The Bee Bots are lots of fun and the story we are featuring is "We're going on a Bear Hunt" written by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury. Be quick as these spots fill very quickly Note: you only need to enrol the c...hild attending, not the adult. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/school-holiday-storytelling-wi This program is funded by the Tasmanian Community Fund and supported by Libraries Tasmania.

This #NAIDOC week we have partnered with Indigenous edu-tech company @mikaelajadeindigital to deliver Australia's first NAIDOC Minecraft Education Challenge. 25 schools and over 1000 students across Australia have been invited to participate in the inaugural challenge, anchored in this year's NAIDOC theme 'Always was. Always will be.' While students across the country are busy getting creative with tech, and preparing their school's entry to be judged on the 15th November, the team has planned a special event on Ngunnawal country in collaboration with the National Library of Australia. Live in Canberra and want to get involved? Click on the link in our bio to find out more about this exciting event in Canberra next week.
