20.01.2022 It’s such a beautiful tranquil night to be relaxing on the deck here at Kingfern at Mooloolah in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

15.01.2022 Spring has arrived and so are the lovely flowers that come with it. The pretty yellow Senecio flowers are blooming on the margins of the rainforest. The sweet smelling and gorgeous Bootlace Orchids take your breath away when you spot them on the trees and the lovely purple Native Sarsparilla is everywhere. So lovely sharing out little piece of paradise with guests at Kingfern at Mooloolah on the Sunshine Coast.

13.01.2022 After watching the spectacular sunset from the beaches of Caloundra yesterday afternoon, we awake to an overcast day with rain predicted. Time for some relaxation on the deck overlooking our beautiful eucalyptus forest. Tim Winton’s book ‘Breath’ awaits me on the daybed... Kingfern at Mooloolah, close to so many attractions of the spectacular Sunshine Coast and hinterland. The perfect place to leave the city behind and breathe...

13.01.2022 It’s October and the flycatchers have returned to Kingfern at Mooloolah! I think these birds are Leaden Flycatchers, which are very similar to the Satin Flycatchers, but I could very easily be wrong and very happy for help in identifying these little guys. The lovely pale orange buff colour on the breast of the female is just so lovely while the male is a striking black and white.

01.01.2022 Such a spectacular time of year here at Kingfern at Mooloolah. The weather is perfect, the birds are busy and all around us, these beautiful King Orchids are in flower and the delicious scent of them fills the air. What a beautiful country we live in.
