15.01.2022 What is art? ... It is spiritual, religious, inspiring and influential. It is biased, political, partisan, propagandized and controversial. It is scientific, ma...thematical, architectural, philosophical and audibly in tune. Art is also aesthetically scrumptious, it rhymes and elevates. It is ugly, kitsch, ridiculously minimalistic and modernly outrageous. It is underpriced, overlooked, taken for granted and used for toilet paper. But it doesnt have to be any of these things. Art has no rules. It is subjective and personal or drably abstract and obvious. Diversity has possessed it and stupidity has often made it famous. Beautiful is ugly, fat is badass, badass is good, good is cheap, minimalism is meditative and deep. Art creates language, movements, cults, manifestos; it starts revolutions and challenges wars. It keeps myths alive and it continuously makes us question what we know and what weve been taught. It speaks up for the oppressed and misrepresented, silenced, criminalized, racialized and forgotten. Art transcends historical relevance and simultaneously preserves forgotten oral or written history. It projects the human story. It speaks for everyone and no one and for me. It is mine, it is yours and no ones. Perhaps it expresses, and perhaps it questions or perhaps it says nothing at all... Let it challenge all your reactions. Let it teach you a new language or culture of appreciation and a new way of seeing. Art is the spice of humanity and we carry it with us where ever we go from birth until death...and even after death art preserves our voice. We can speak or remain silent. We can scream or cry, celebrate or condemn, and perhaps even restore.... its all there in in the potential of your creative expression... See more
