GARLIC BUTTER PRAWNS These garlic butter prawns were absolutely delicious and took under 30 minutes to cook ... . . Prawns provide a rich source of selenium - an antioxidant used for maintaining healthy cells. They also offer a great source of essential fatty acids, protein, and vitamins A, D and E . . Recipe for 2 people: 400g peeled and deveined prawns/shrimp 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped 2 spring onions 50g butter 2 tbsp chinese shaoxing cooking wine 2 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp sesame oil 2 tsp oyster sauce 1 bunch broccolini 1 bunch bok choy 1/2 red chilli, thinly sliced Pinch of sesame seeds Hokkien noodles or steamed rice . . Method: Place prawns, baking powder and salt in large bowel. Mix well and set aside for 10 mins. Slice the spring onions separating whites and greens. Heat butter in wok over medium heat and then stir fry the garlic and whites of spring onion for one minute. Add broccolini and stir fry for an extra 2 minutes. Add bok choy and stir fry for one minute. Then add prawns and once almost cooked through add the Chinese cooking wine and let sizzle for 30 seconds. Add soy sauce and oyster sauce and stir fry for an extra minute. Turn off heat and toss through the green part of the spring onions and sesame oil. Serve with choice of steamed rice or noodles, fresh chilli and sesame seeds. Enjoy! Below is a recipe from @eilishoconnordietitian who is a qualified dietitian that we will be working in partnership with to provide you with delicious recipes and dietary information. This roasted trout with tomato, orange and currant salsa by @ottolenghi was so delicious and fresh. I paired it with some greens including kale and... broccolini and topped it with some fried garlic . . Oily fish is such an important part of our diet. Try to have 2 serves per week They are rich in omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids which have been shown to reduce inflammation and risk of disease such as cardiovascular disease. They also play a masssssive role in brain function - they promote healthier brain cells and reduce deterioration of the brain . .
