23.01.2022 I am pleased to say that the seat at the rear of the Netherby Nursing Centre (King Island Hospital) has now been installed. I would like to dedicate it to the w...ives and partners of Soldier Settlers who went to King Island and supported their husbands and partners in order to make a better life for their families. The dedication of the wives and partners in many cases kept the families together and the "home fires burning". My Aunty Lorna Cooper loved to walk up to this spot and to be able to see the rural land, the school and the sea. It gave her many hours of pleasure. When the Covid 19 situation resolves we hope to have a formal dedication. My sincere thanks to DOM Amanda for her great assistance and all those who have assisted in any way to make this happen. 14.01.2022 NETHERBY HOME UPDATE As of Monday 22 June, Netherby Home will be open for all visitors, including children, between the hours of 1.00pm and 5.00pm. Please arrive through the emergency entrance and push the intercom button to let the nurse in charge know you have arrived. You will then be screened, which includes taking your temperature and asking you some questions. You will also be required to prove you have had the 2020 flu vaccination (if you haven’t already)....
