23.01.2022 What would we do if we didn’t have our service clubs? Did you notice the beautiful red Rhododendrons that Kinglake Lions Club planted near Lions Park & Kinglake Memorial Reserve? They are going to make a spectacular looking Avenue of Honour Well done!

18.01.2022 Thanks to our Kinglake Market stallholders, visitors and with a grant from our own Rotary 9790 district - here is what we have achieved - a TrailRider. An all terrain wheelchair vehicle that we donated to ParksVictoria, for use in the Kinglake Ranges National Parks. THANKS to EVERYONE who has helped us achieve this project. It's such a big story, there are two parts in the Mountain Monthly - pages 4, 26-27 https://www.mountainmonthly.com.au/mm-online-1

15.01.2022 Are you ready to explore and play? We are so excited to announce that the long-awaited Diamond Creek Regional Playspace will open to the public this Saturday, 3...1 October! And it’s not just the kids who will have all the fun. The Rotary Club Tram Café is sure to be popular with the grown-ups eager for a freshly brewed coffee, other beverages and delicious treats. We expect the new playspace to be busy and we ask that visitors follow the Victorian Government COVID-19 restrictions. Please observe social distancing guidelines, wear a face mask if over 12 years of age, and practise good hand hygiene. For visitor information go to www.nillumbik.vic.gov.au/diamond-creek-playspace For information about the Tram Cafe go to Diamond Creek Rotary Tram Project Danielle Green MP - Member for Yan Yean Vicki Ward MP for Eltham Diamond Valley Lions Club

08.01.2022 What community means to us? Our mural was created by the students of Strathewen Primary school and it represents the connection we have with our community. The ...design is of a tree of life with photos that show the community support given to our school. The cogs on the picture represents the connection between our school and community groups and how they engage with each other and work together to encourage and support the growth and development of our students. The Rotary clubs have provided us with the opportunity to have a fairy garden, pizza oven, bike trailer and to be part of the local Kinglake market. We have had the honour to have our students speak at the R.S.L. Anzac Day service in Diamond Creek. We have received funds from the Bendigo bank for a large-scale concert event involving many local schools. There has been community involvement in both centenary events and anniversaries as well as funding for our highly successful Strathewen and Arthurs Creek Bushfire Education Partnership. The support and encouragement of these community groups enables our school to offer our students a wide range of opportunities. It takes a village to raise a child (African proverb) #diamondcreekmuralfestival See more
