21.01.2022 I’ve focused on the basics for 20 years of training but of late I’ve enjoyed adding some more specific isolation work. In particular my neck, trapezius and deltoids. Long way to go but I think it has helped make some improvements. 20.01.2022 Short notice opportunities pop up for all of us. 2 weeks notice for a project so I lowered my carbs slightly and added a 40 minute power walk each morning before breakfast. I kept lifting heavy(ish)in my normal routine. What I didn’t do: I didn’t starve myself, I didn’t do jogging or intense cardio, I didn’t lower all my weights and do hi reps thinking it would get me shredded... these are the most common mistakes that leave a physique flat and deflated. At this stage, 2 da...y’s out-I’m lean and still full and strong. If I had 2 more weeks-sure- I could be totally shredded .. but that’s not the hand I’ve been dealt. 20.01.2022 Last couple of months I have done a clean bulking phase. For me this meant adding some size by upping my food intake. I eat basically the same foods everyday so I simply added slightly more to each meal. One more scoop of oats in the morning and a bit more rice at lunch and dinner. I already eat a tonne of carbs so these meals are now quite large. Don’t fall into the delusion of dirty bulking and eat truckloads of sugar and junk foods. Very fortunate to be able to get to know him and pick his brain while we were in Vietnam for the @victory8boxing Event. Cung has a wealth of knowledge in all forms of combat. Striking, grappling,mma and many weapons- ranging from knives to assault rifles-he’s dedicated his life to building these skills. 06.01.2022 @patrick_purcell_77 picking out all my flaws after a good workout. UPPERBODY session with a 2:1 push :pull ratio. Always good intensity training with Pat. Very little rest for an hour of training.. then we flexed in the mirror for 4 more hours.
