25.01.2022 With some rain on Friday the Picton River was just right on Saturday. Warm day with showers made for a magical misty river. Good water & good company for Charlie’s awesome birthday present.

23.01.2022 Summer is on its way and after a crazy year it looks like the Tasmanian borders may be opening. To add to the craziness of this year, the Bureau of Meteorology has told us we are entering a period of La Nina. Learn more about it at http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/outlooks/#/rainfall/summary. This means that the outlook for Tasmania is wetter in the east - good for the farmers and drier in the west - good for people wanting the best Tassie one day west coast white water raft trip in the sun. Get in quick though - La Nina only lasts a few months and our season closes for two months on 24 January 2021

23.01.2022 The sounds of the King today, the roar of the rapids and lap of the ripples & paddles, thunder rolling through the hills, the distant hoot of the steam train whistle and the constant twitter of the forest birds. All this and home before the rain really set in.

22.01.2022 Well it’s official. La Niña is here for the summer. This indicates rain in eastern Tasmania and drier in the west. A good time to plan for a west coast holiday and a King River Rafting trip. Our season will be finishing in late January so don’t leave it too late to ditch the east coast rain and enjoy the west coast sunshine with us Book on the website. Plenty of spaces still available. What an awesome Christmas gift http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/outlooks/

21.01.2022 Believe me my young friend, there is nothing, absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats - Ratty. And so it was today on the King River Gorge Explorer.

15.01.2022 A few pictures from a recent trip. We have trips confirmed Monday, Wednesday & Friday this week and still some places for you.

14.01.2022 Our half day Twin Rivers Adventure is confirmed for Friday 6 November. The weather is warming and the spring time waratah is blooming. 11.01.2022 King River Rafting are a supporter of the 2020 Lea Extreme Race. With Destination West Coast, Roamwild Tasmania, West Coast Wilderness Railway and Gold Rush I...nn we provided a west coast adventure starter package. The race was well run in good weather, good water and a big COVID safe Tassie crowd. Great thanks to Harry and all the Tas Canoe Club crew for putting such an event together and we look forward to doing it all again next year, bigger & better with a mainland contingent. Looking forward to seeing everyones pictures of the day and dont forget to #adventurewestcoasttas See more

11.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day Dads

10.01.2022 How time flies. 35 years and still going strong. It’s been a wonderful adventure

10.01.2022 Spring time school holidays and what a time for families to holiday at home. The Twin Rivers Winter Adventure is just the best short adventure around.

07.01.2022 Join the summer chaos on the Huon River on our Twin Rivers Adventure.

06.01.2022 Here are a few pictures from a pretty standard west coast weekend. In the space of a couple of days we had some great white water, 4WD & beers on the beach, dinghy up the harbour, toured the convict ruins of Sarah Island and the old Pillinger mining township, bush walks in the forest and the mountains and all in some pretty good weather. Great company at night with a range of hospitality options.

04.01.2022 Twelve months ago we won bronze in the Adventure Tourism Awards. What a year since then. Last summer was our best yet, we have started up out Twin River trips at Tahune, managing COVID 19 and looking forward to a busy summer with the Tasmanian borders opening. KRR going from strength to strength with the help of all our partners, friends, guides and guests. A big thank you to all of you.
