20.01.2022 With respect to the #DVA veterans who come to our day hospital we would like to acknowledge #BeershebaDay. 101 years ago the men of the 4th & 12th Australian Light Horse Regiments along with their trusty steeds charged the guns and entrenched Turks at Beersheba. There was 67 Australian casualties of which 31 were KIA as well as 70 horses. The Turks suffered many casualties too with as many as 700 - 1000 POWs taken.
