19.01.2022 It’s a bit of a novel today but everyone deserves a mention. I’m super dooper proud of today’s game. Having 10 on the field made a huge difference with the inner positions being filled. The team was asking who was today’s player of the match but it was the whole team. You all played your roles perfectly. Forwards, Charlie, Maddi & Evie. You all worked hard, connected well, had some chances in the circle and had great games. Some more confidence to carry the ball more and yo...u will be on fire. Inners, Blake & Andie. Outstanding games. For 2 of the younger kids you both played this position wonderfully backing up your forwards and connecting with your halves. Well done. Halves, Annabelle, Sienna & Yohanna. You all backed up your forwards, did some wonderful tackles and great passes. You all played your positions really well. Great control from the centre Yoyo. Backs, Elodi & Halle. Elodi at back and Halle as GK meant our defence was safe as houses. Elodi did some wonderful hits of of defence and Halle made some great saves in the goal. A VERY WELL DESERVED DRAW TODAY

16.01.2022 Our two young guns - Fiona and Jas, have begun their quest to be Australian Under 18 champions today in Tasmania, playing for Queensland. They started with a bang, recording an impressive 6-2 win over NSWB. Keep up the great work girls.... The entire club and community are behind you.

16.01.2022 U13 Mermaids First win for the year!! Playing against Waratahs the girls came away with a 1-0 win on a very waterlogged turf due to the rain. Mikaela was the lone goal scorer and showed great skill all game in tricky conditions. All players were fantastic but want to make special mention to Hannah who played her first game at centre forward. She did a fantastic job and was unlucky to get a goal in.

13.01.2022 Another wonderful game by our young guns. Evie C & Charlie M lead from the front for us today, running the ball and doing wonderful passes. Evie found the goal after some hard work and not giving up. All our defence made some great tackles and hard clearing hits out of defence. ... The kids were exhausted, I think I had about 5 asking to all go off at the same time, so they all deserve as huge rest now. The last 2 games have been excellent and I’m super proud of you all. For those a little bit lost on the field still, you need to give yourself time. This is very hard to teach and something that is learnt through time on the field. A big happy birthday to Andie Girl!!!

13.01.2022 Our U11s have started the season so well. They have not manage a single training session yet due to weather & holidays but the kids are playing great. Some of the passages of passing they displayed in today’s game was outstanding, with some awesome tackling to match. They also look very impressive in there new uniforms

Please throw on your Kingy gear and get down to Hockey Tweed Playing Fields to cheer on our teams. GOOD LUCK TO THESE 4 TEAMS Also please see the seating allocation area that Kingy have been designated due to COVID safety spacing. For those unable to work it out, our area is South Side of the Southern Dugout on T1. Can’t wait to see you all out there and hopefully celebrating some amazing wins.

Girls can hold their heads up high never giving up with a well built up play leading to a goal to Abbey. ... Great defensive effort from all our backs and halves with Ella making some great tackles.
