25.01.2022 Following the recent Wise Wyverns' Luncheon, the Master Greg Eddy and Executive Assistant to the King's College Foundation Ronda Eastall, welcomed guests to the Wensley Memorial Plaque Ceremony. As a central memorial to our deceased King's students the plaques are a very special tribute that will last forever and ensure their legacy will live on within the King's College community.

21.01.2022 A great team made short work of the weeds at todays Kings Bushcare Working Bee. The Bushcare site is looking fantastic and there are not many weeds left going into the spring. One working bee left for the year and one more opportunity to give back to the local St Lucia community!

20.01.2022 Our running group was snapped recently taking a break from study for a casual jog/run around the UQ campus. All running levels welcome. Depart from the front gate 4.00pm Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. Its a great way to clear the head!

20.01.2022 Wensley wing got in before the rain this morning to get some more weeding maintenance completed on the King's Bushcare site, just upstream from the College. We're slowly but surely fighting back the invasive weeds and allowing the native plantings to regenerate the area. Thanks for all the hard work team!

"Over the month of September, 25 Kings students have been wearing school dresses daily to spread awareness and raise funds for girls education. Weve managed to raise an outstanding $3,281 from a few family and friends with the aim to help girls in Sierra Leone and Uganda put on a school dress of their own and take charge of their futures. 15.01.2022 After some interruption in semester one it was great to get back out to the Kings Bushcare site for another working bee this morning. Thanks to the crew from Wensley and E flats we made a significant impact on removing weeds, particularly Coral Berry, and helping the native bush be restored in this area. Fantastic to be back out giving back to the local St Lucia community!

12.01.2022 Toby Gillen (first-year Bachelor of Business Management student at UQ) recently competed at the National Open Men’s 1500m race at Sydney Olympic Park. The competition was fierce and Toby was happy about his performance as he achieved a PB of 3:45. You may recall Toby won the ICC Cross Country for King's earlier this year.

03.01.2022 Some great fundraising initiatives have been undertaken by Kings students this semester. Will Harding is leading the Mullets for Mental Health campaign. "After speaking to a few boys, I realised just how important mens mental health is at Kings and how close it is to many boys hearts. In a College with a lot of boys, sometimes it can be hard to show an emotional side and speak up if things are on your mind. This is why I decided to get behind this cause, to make boys ...feel okay about speaking out and remind us all to always check in on your mates, as you never know what someone might be going through." 03.01.2022 The College warmly welcomed UQs new Vice Chancellor Prof Deborah Terry AO and husband Prof Ottmar Lipp for one of her first official engagements, to deliver our annual Dr David Williams Lecture. The evening was also the perfect opportunity to announce and congratulate our 2019 Kings Scholar, Toby Buckley.
