23.01.2022 There were more than 20 black swans on the swamp this afternoon, with 3 sets of signets. This set had 5. Great to see them doing well.

22.01.2022 This little fellow arrived a couple of days ago. It’s a ‘boy’ year so far with 5 ram lambs and only one ewe lamb. Still have 3 ewes to lamb, the next one will be in a few days.

17.01.2022 Coco, the last of this years pups left yesterday for her new home in Victoria. She was a smart pup, quick to learn with a fabulous disposition. She loved playing with the baby goats. She really enjoyed a warm bath before she left.

16.01.2022 5 puppies left this weekend for their new homes. Sad to see them go yet excited that they will be good and faithful companions and protectors of sheep, goats and chooks. This is Kova now at her new home near Cowra. She looks content.

15.01.2022 A day of mixed feelings- Some new babies arrived overnight with 13 from 18 eggs but sadly we lost liana one of our champion Australia brown dairy goats. She was only 15 months old and our first A grade Australia brown doe and was due to be mated in the next couple of weeks to produce our first pure bred Australia brown. Devastated to loose the genetics and the potential for more champions.

15.01.2022 Granddaughters Sophie and Zoe playing with the youngest group of kids

15.01.2022 Puppies had their first direct interaction with a goat yesterday. It was with our week old Australia Brown doe kid. They weren’t shy and very curious. All good signs. They will get their immunization and microchip on August 12. And will start going to their new homes a few days later.

15.01.2022 Jess’s pups are doing well. Their eyes are now open and they are finding their legs and moving around a lot more. Its funny how they just crawl over the top of eachother to snuggle up. Once the weather warms up at the weekend they will come out of their kennel and they will taste warm goats milk the first time. Deposits have already been taken for 5.

13.01.2022 Puppy update. 9 of the 10 puppies have new homes to go to from next Saturday once they get their microchip and vaccination. These 5 girls got their collars on today. They now weigh between 3.5 and 3.9 kgs at 40 days. They all have healthy appetites. They are drinking 4-5 litres of goats milk between them every day.

12.01.2022 It’s day 17 for our puppies and they are doing well and weighing around 1.1 to 1.4 kgs. As you can see they kinda like the goats milk. Didn’t take long.

12.01.2022 Jess, our working maremma presented us with 11 puppies on Wednesday afternoon. 8 girls and 3 boys. 2 girls are already sold with one going to Cairns to protect free range hens from hawks, the other will protect sheep in the upper Hunter. One little girl got a cuddle from granddaughter Zoe, this morning. Another little girl needed some special care this morning and after a couple of drinks of warm goats milk from a syringe, she is now back with mum and siblings and doing well.

05.01.2022 Freya, our East freisan x dorper ewe gave us twins on Monday night during a storm. A boy and a girl. Their dad is a black speckled Persian.

04.01.2022 We're grateful beyond words that we weren't home when this clump of trees blew down! Brett would usually be working in this area. Thankfully, it looks like all our animals are okay - some infrastructure not so! We certainly have some cleanup to do.

01.01.2022 Layla, the second last of Jess’ pups has left for her new home near cairns. She will be protecting free range hens from hawks. She decided to have a quick dip in the dam just an hour before she was due to leave for the airport. So she needed a bath, which she enjoyed.
