22.01.2022 A reminder that the school canteen is open tomorrow, Friday 12th February -the FRIDAY menu is on offer with plenty to choose from! Please remember the preferred option for ordering is via the QKR App - details on how to complete this can be found on Facebook, the school's website and also in our last newsletter. Please remember to select the correct grade for your child/children on the QKR! App to ensure there is no delay in their lunch arriving.... Orders for Monday/Friday lunch orders can be arranged through the QKR! App up until 8:45am on the morning of the requested lunch order day and can also be completed for an advance date. Thank you

20.01.2022 Hi Parents, I am assuming you have heard the news update of Victoria going into lockdown for 5 days as of midnight tonight. At present we do not have any further information to pass on to you as we will need to wait for advice from the Department of Education. Daniel Andrews has stated that schools will be closed until and including Wednesday, some exclusions will apply, we will wait for advice and ensure you are updated as soon as we know. Watch this space.

19.01.2022 A student who attended Camp Australia (After School Care) on-site yesterday has misplaced a reading bag that contains prescription glasses. If your child was also at yesterday's 'afternoon' session could you please check their bag for the missing item. The reading bag is not named, however, the glasses and books within are. If located, it can be returned to the school office. Thank you

17.01.2022 CANTEEN RESUMES FOR TERM 2 TOMORROW - NEW MENU'S ON THE QKR! APP A reminder that the school canteen is open tomorrow, Friday 23rd April - the FRIDAY menu is on offer with plenty to choose from! The special for this Friday is : Roast Beef Roll (with or without gravy) $5... (JUNIOR FAMILIES: Leigh from the school canteen will safely hold on to any lunch orders that our Junior children may have this Friday, and provide them on their return from swimming). 17.01.2022 Scholastic Book Club (Issue #8) will be sent home with the children this week. This is our last issue for 2020 with orders needing to be completed by Friday 20th November. We understand 2020 has been a very challenging year with COVID and we would like to thank all of our families who purchased from Scholastic this year as this has enabled more books to be purchased for the school and added to our library selection.

Children please come prepared for your first lesson [towel, plastic bag for wet clothes, change of underclothes, thongs and bathers if possible underneath your school uniform (we try not to use the change rooms before our session) and change at the schools assembly area] Swimming Session Times: Group One (J20 & J22) 12.00 - 12.45pm... Group Two (J21 & J23) 12.45 - 1.30pm Looking forward to a fantastic week with our Junior School Swimming Program at PARC.

10.01.2022 NEW Tuesday playgroup at Cruden Farm in Langwarrin So many happy and healthy outdoor adventures planned for families and their 0-6 year olds. Commencing Tuesday 20th April. We have access to the gardens for a picnic and a play from 9-12 over six consecutive Tuesdays. Families can choose the 9.15am, 10.15am or 11.15am 'Natured Kids' sessions onsite.Join us for autumn fun, tadpoling, kite making, butterfly gardening, cubby building and water play. 09.01.2022 School resumes tomorrow - Monday 19th April. Classroom doors open at 8:30am and learning commences at 8:45am. A reminder also that the school canteen will not be open on Monday 19th April and will resume for Term 2 on Friday 23rd April. 08.01.2022 Following today's announcement, Sikh Volunteers Australia team will commence free food home delivery service to the 7 Council areas daily during the 5 day 'CIRCUIT BREAKER' lockdown period from tomorrow.

07.01.2022 Please don't forget; Our School Council Election process continues. We currently have two Parent vacancies of 2 years tenure and one x 1 year tenure position. Nomination forms are now available at the office, these can be emailed to parents upon request and need to be returned by 4pm on Friday 19th February. Nomination forms presented after this time can not be considered. Parents can either self-nominate or be nominated. Ballot papers will be prepared and distributed if required on Monday 22nd February 2021. This occurs when the number of nominations received is more than positions available. The ballot will close at 4.00 pm on Friday 26th February 2021

06.01.2022 SCHOOL COLOUR RUN - DECEMBER 4TH Families have been provided with sponsorship forms which explain how to create an online profile. Raising as little as $10 will entitle your child to a great prize! A reminder that fundraising needs to be completed on-line by this Friday (13th November) - should you have fundraising cash, this also needs to be returned to the school office by 9am this Friday.... Prize selection will be available on-line during the week on Monday 16th - Friday 20th November. Good luck!

The special for this week is Nachos ($4.50) For convenience, we recommend that the QKR! App be used for lunch orders - please ensure you select your child's correct grade to avoid any delays in lunch orders being made available to the classroom.

04.01.2022 Morning drop-off: Please do not drop students off at the school gate before 8.30am. Whilst we appreciate the need for parents to get to work, school grounds are not supervised until 8.30am. Students are the responsibility of parents until 8.30am. They are our responsibility once inside the gates from 8.30am. A number of children are being dropped off outside the gates as early as 8.15am. Please understand this is a safety concern for all, especially when they are younger students. The crossing lady has reported that some students are playing with balls out there which have come close to ending up on the road. These children are not the responsibility of older students or staff. If you require Before School Care, Camp Australia are open from 7.00am.

02.01.2022 Thank you to those who purchased Headphones via the school, they have now been delivered to classrooms. For parents in Year 1 and above, if you were bringing in your own, now is the time to do so, otherwise you are still able to to purchase from the school via Qkr!

01.01.2022 The KPG (Kingsley Parent Group) would like to invite parents to join us to help with our fundraisers - new faces are always welcome as are new ideas! 2021 is a huge year for us with our School Fair in November so there’s no better time to get involved than now! If you would like to help with the KPG please contact the school office (97890077) and leave your name and number, alternately you can send a message through Facebook or drop an email to [email protected]. One of the KPG representatives will contact you and answer any questions you may have, let you know when they are next due to meet and bring you up to date with what projects are currently being organised. We understand that many parents in our community are often lacking in time, so another way in which the KPG can be supported is through parents in our community who have contacts with companies and organisations that may be able to support our group in fundraising for our fabulous #Kingsley Kids. Donated items (new and undamaged) are a great way to create hampers for raffles and prizes for events, items such as the following; Picnic esky, BBQ tools, picnic blanket, drinks bottles, wine/ beer vouchers etc Children’s Art supplies, indoor / outdoor games, puzzles, books, vouchers etc Garden wheelbarrow, gardening tools /gloves, watering can, seeds, mulch, fertilizer etc Ladies vouchers, pamper items, chocolates, hair products, make up, scarves, wine/ beer vouchers etc Men vouchers, pamper items, chocolates, men’s toiletries, wine/ beer vouchers etc Most importantly, whatever the KPG do, they do for the #Kingsley Kids please consider if you can help, big or small, working together makes things happen!
