25.01.2022 Look who dropped by to check us out? Alanah Kilner Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor CentreAustralia's Coral Coast

25.01.2022 Yesterday our passengers were very lucky indeed. Whale shark swims, a snorkel with a Turtle and........an in water encounter with a Humpback Whale. Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

24.01.2022 On one of our last trips for this season we were joined by Annika (far right). Booked on by her mum, we were told that it was her dream to do exactly what our own mermaids get to do everyday. So what better way to make Annika's day that extra bit special but to make her an honorary crew member for the afternoon. We love knowing that we inspire others to follow career paths in the marine tourism industry. Our mermaids are Marine Biologists, Dive Instructors, Dive Masters and/...or underwater photographers. So you are in the safest of hands when exploring Ningaloo Reef with them. Photo: Kelsi Samson Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

23.01.2022 Coming through.......the Whale sharks we encountered yesterday had some company. We definitely avoided the Lions mane jellyfish though, beautiful to see, but best to keep it out of its way. Photo: Kelsi Samson Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

23.01.2022 We had some extra special visitors to our office today.

23.01.2022 In keeping with our environmentally friendly ethos we are doing away with paper waiver forms. All waivers will now be offered to our customers electronically upon booking. So if you have booked a tour with us for 2021, don't forget to complete your waiver form. There will be a link in your confirmation email , we'll also send an email reminder just prior to your tour date. You can also access the waiver from our website. Making your booking experience easy and environmentally friendly so you spend more time enjoying your day rather than completing paperwork.

22.01.2022 Did you know that our Observer fares include snorkels on Ningaloo Reef and a swim with Manta Rays if we find them.. Not to mention Whale watching and marine life spotting. Should an Observer change their mind and wish to swim with a Whale or Whale shark if we locate them, then they can upgrade, however only if we have swimming spots left available on the day. Take a good look at the first pic of the Manta Ray, theres a sneaky turtle just underneath. Photo: Jess Leask ... Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

22.01.2022 Now you see me, now you don't! A master of disguise - meet the Flounder. Whether its hiding in the sand, or swimming in open ocean, it is a fascinating creature to find on a snorkel. Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

21.01.2022 These photos were taken on our Eco Tour over the weekend - from Humpback Whales including a calf, to a Hammerhead shark, turtles, reef fish, nudibranch, sting rays and so much more. Each day is different and you never know what we'll encounter. But we never cease to be amazed by the diversity of Ningaloo Reef. 20.01.2022 Happy Birthday to our Whale shark Whisperer, Captain Dane! Dane will be back out on tour today, working on his birthday, so if you see him at the boat ramp be sure to wish him a happy birthday.

20.01.2022 It is believed that Loggerhead Turtles grow to 50 years or more in age. Looking at the growth on this one, it would be safe to say that this old gal has seen a few things in her time. Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

20.01.2022 Take a look at another perspective of an in water Humpback Whale encounter. These were our passengers on yesterday's tour. Our skipper and trained crew make the decision as to whether the situation and conditions are safe enough for us to enter the water. Only seven people at a time are permitted in the water and a distance of 30m is to be maintained between us and the whale. While swimming with a Whale shark which averages 6-8m is humbling, nothing can prepare you for th...e exhilaration of being in the water with a creature that averages 13-16m in length. Photo: Alanah Kilner Australia's Coral Coast Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre

20.01.2022 This is an Australian Trumpet Shell or Syrinx Auranus that we came across on one of our reef snorkels. You can see from the 'footprint' in the sand the direction it is travelling. While our Eco Tours promote encounters with megafauna, we always take time to appreciate the little things as well. Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

20.01.2022 Happy Birthday to our little ray of sunshine, Alanah. Your smile is infectious and we just know that today you'll be beaming! Can I hear a YEAH BABY???????

19.01.2022 This year has definitely delivered us some challenges. However they say every cloud has a silver lining. While state borders remain closed, we have more West Australian's discovering Exmouth and the Ningaloo Reef than ever before. Our little town is busier than ever. If you are out exploring this beautiful region please help us keep it pristine and take 3 for the sea. If you can, we ask you to take 3 pieces of rubbish (or more) with you when you leave the beach and together we can keep Ningaloo Reef beautiful. Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

19.01.2022 Merry Christmas from all of us at Kings Ningaloo Reef Tours . Well done to Santa and the elves for bringing smiles to everyone's faces all over the world this morning. Time for a break......we know the perfect place!

19.01.2022 How's this for a gauge of size? We've been lucky enough to still be swimming with Whale sharks in late September on our Eco Tours. While specific encounters cannot be guaranteed, what we can guarantee you is that our crew will do all they can to ensure that you have the best day possible on Ningaloo Reef. Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

19.01.2022 What did we see yesterday? Take a look for yourself here. Photo: Kelsi Samson Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

18.01.2022 Wait for it........... Big thanks to one of our passengers Ryan Joseph for sharing this footage of his humpback whale encounter today.

18.01.2022 While on a snorkel at the back of the reef with a Whale shark, look who drops in for the ultimate photo bomb. Another special moment on Ningaloo Reef. Photo: Jess Leask Australia's Coral Coast Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre

18.01.2022 Have you been out on tour with us this year? We've made it easy for you to leave a review. Simply click on the link below for your choice of platforms, or you can leave a review on all three if you like. There is no bigger compliment to our business than customers who have been referred by friends and family. However there are also many customers that base their choice of operator on the reviews of others they've never even met. So if you've been on tour with us, and think its one of the most memorable days of your life, then we invite you to let our potential customers know about it. https://www.kingsningalooreeftours.com.au/testimonials/

17.01.2022 Meet our crew. Some of the happiest people on earth. They say if you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life. Well these guys definitely love what they do, but they do work really hard to ensure that all our passengers have the best day ever. Their infectious enthusiasm and knowledge of the reef will fill your day not only with laughs but a greater appreciation for just how special Ningaloo Reef is. Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

17.01.2022 When a whale comes to the surface after a dive, it breathes out the old air quickly, all in one breath. ... So the spout you see is not a fountain of water; rather, it's a stream of warm air being forced out of the whales lungs, aka the whale's breath. The shape formed as they exhale is different for each type of whale. The most common one you'll find off our coast at the moment is the Humpback Whale. This is usually the first signal we'll see to alert us to the presence of whales in the area.

17.01.2022 TURN THE VOLUME UP for this one. Our photographer managed to capture the beautiful sounds of Whale song underwater during our tour yesterday. Video: Kelsi Samson Australia's Coral Coast Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre

16.01.2022 Shhhhhhhhh he's sleeping.......... We had an absolutely magical moment with a resting whale yesterday. Not to mention a Manta ray swim where we were joined by a turtle as well. So many photos to choose from. Stay tuned for more images from our day yesterday. Photo: Jess Leask ... Australia's Coral Coast Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre

16.01.2022 Guess what we found today????? Our first Whale shark in almost a week. After some Humpback Whale spotting, a 5m Whale shark joined our day, much to the delight of our passengers.

16.01.2022 NEWSFLASH!!!!!!!! After just over a week of no sightings our group today have swum with a 6m Whale shark. Plus all 3 groups had in water encounters with a Humpback Whale. There are a lot of grinning passengers on board today. Photo: Jess Leask

16.01.2022 Look who’s coming in for a kiss there’s something fishy about this one This past week we’ve been lucky enough to not only see Whale Sharks, but swim with them too! I wonder what magic will happen this week out on the Ningaloo Reef Taken by our talented photographer: Jessica Leask

16.01.2022 This stunner is celebrating her birthday day. Happy Birthday Jade from all the Kings crew xxx

15.01.2022 Whale sharks in September!!!!!! Our lucky passengers saw not only a Whale shark but also Humpback Whales. From the biggest fish to the smallest fish our eco tours aim to show you the very best the reef has to offer. Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

15.01.2022 From now until the end of September, we operate our Whale shark Humpback Whale Eco Tours. These tours are full day all inclusive trips, that incorporate 1-2 reef snorkels throughout the day and the use of a spotter plane to locate mega fauna. While its not peak Whale shark season, if we do locate one we'll jump in for a swim. We'll head out and do some Whale watching and if deemed safe to do so we are also able to allow our passengers to enter the water with Humpback Whales.... Our Eco tours don't have a particular focus in terms of encounters which enables us to vary our itinerary according to what is located on the day. We aim to show you the best the reef has to offer and if we can jump in for a swim with a Whale shark or a Humpback Whale or even Manta Ray's, we will. Sometimes if you're really lucky it will be all three on the same day. While encounters cannot be guaranteed, we can guarantee that all decisions regarding up close encounters with marine life will be made with the safety of passengers and our crew and of course the marine life in mind at all times. Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

14.01.2022 Wish you were here??? Watching dolphins play in the lagoon??? Come join us on an Eco Tour. The weather this week can’t get any better. Photo :Alanah Kilner Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

13.01.2022 Who doesn't love a TED talk? Find out how Whale's produce their gorgeous Whale song......

13.01.2022 Yesterday our passengers and crew encountered False Killer Whales. They are part of the dolphin family and their name comes about because of the shape of their skulls, it is similar to that of killer whales (Orcas). They are social animals and are found in tropical waters and OH SO VERY CUTE! Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

13.01.2022 Merry Christmas from all of us at Kings Ningaloo Reef Tours. Well done to Santa and the elves for bringing smiles to the world this morning. Looks like Santa could do with a holiday.......we know the perfect location.

13.01.2022 Yes we conduct Whale shark tours but that doesn't mean we only take you out to see the Whale sharks. During your full day Whale shark tour you'll also get to snorkel the Ningaloo Reef. We generally will do a snorkel on the reef in the morning and if we have time another in the afternoon as well. After our Whale shark swims we will also head out for some sight seeing, we'll take you to see anything that we locate, whether that's Manta Rays, Whales, Orca's, dolphins........there is always so much to see on Ningaloo Reef. 12.01.2022 On all our tours we have a Marine Biologist on board that is able to give you the answers to all the questions you have about Ningaloo Reef. So not only will you experience the adventure of a lifetime, you'll also learn a few things along the way. You can find out whether Whale sharks can eat you, whether males are bigger than females or even ask our guides how big the biggest Whale shark they've swum with is. 12.01.2022 Its the 1st day of SPRING and what better way to celebrate the day than with a Turtley cool post for Turtle Tuesday. The turtles have gotten in early and already commenced their mating season. You'll see turtles at Ningaloo Reef cruising the shallows looking for a mate. This beautiful Loggerhead Turtle was encountered on one of our reef snorkels. Photo : Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

11.01.2022 Fancy giving this a go? You could be swimming alongside the biggest fish in the sea, a Whale shark, just like these lucky passengers. Booking is easy, just head online to www.kingsningalooreeftours.com.au or give us a call . Photo: Nush Freedman Australia's Coral Coast

11.01.2022 Yesterday our passengers were lucky enough to find a Whale shark and encounter Humpback Whales while on tour. The beauty of our Eco Tours is that we don't have a set itinerary. We are open to encounter whatever presents itself on the day. We incorporate 1-2 reef snorkels throughout the day, we send up a spotter plane to look for marine life and we head out to look at whatever is located. Please note that in water encounters with Humpback Whales will only occur if deemed safe to do so by our specialist crew. 10.01.2022 We've had a few sightings of Manta Ray's while on tour this past week. If after our Whale shark swim we do locate Manta Ray's then yes, we do jump in for a swim with them. Photo: Kelsi Samson Australia's Coral Coast Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre

08.01.2022 We love being able to turn dreams into a reality for our passengers. This Humpback Whale encounter was definitely a bucket list experience for many of our passengers the other day. Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

08.01.2022 It's Spring time and love is in the air, or underwater, as may be the case for these two. It's turtle mating season at the moment at Ningaloo Reef. This private moment was witnessed while on an Eco tour however you can see turtles cruising the shallows along the shore. If you do happen to come across turtles resting on our beaches, please ensure you follow the Turtle watching Code of Conduct. Resting turtles on the beach are quite vulnerable and easily stressed so we do encourage you to click on the link below to see what you can do to minimise any negative impact to them when visiting our beaches at this time. https://www.dpaw.wa.gov.au//th/threatened-animals/turtles

08.01.2022 Look mum, one hand!!! Not only were our guests able to swim with a 7m Whale shark yesterday, they were also treated to some acrobatics by this little one. More photos to come. Photo: Jess Leask ... Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

07.01.2022 As the Whale sharks and the Humpback Whales depart Ningaloo Reef, another one of our gorgeous creatures takes centre stage. Three of the worlds 7 species of turtle, mate and nest on Ningaloo beaches. We are so lucky to be the birth place of Green Turtles, Loggerhead Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles. All three of these turtles are threatened species. It is vitally important that we observe the Turtle Watchers Code of Conduct to ensure any interactions are done so with minimal im...pact upon them. Visit the Ningaloo Visitor Centre, the Dept of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions or the Jurabi Turtle Centre to learn more about the code of conduct. 07.01.2022 Its World Tourism Day. With the pandemic that the world has faced in 2020, the Tourism Industry was not only one of the first industries to suffer, it has also been one of the slowest to recover. Even with border closures and the loss of international tourism we were still fortunate to have been able to salvage our 2020 season and what a season it has been. We'd like to thank all the passengers that travelled with us this year for supporting us through this time. For those that are still yet to make it, we hope to see you in 2021. @visitningaloo Australia's Coral Coast

05.01.2022 Well that's a wrap folks! Our 2020 season has now come to an end. We'd like to extend a great big THANK YOU to all the people that joined us on a Ningaloo adventure this year. Thank you to our passengers for supporting the WA Tourism industry and our small local business. From starting the season with a grim outlook for the tourism industry, your participation and support has meant the world to us. Please continue to explore our wonderful state, we have so much to be proud of. To those of you outside Western Australia just waiting for your chance to experience this paradise for yourself, we hope to welcome you back in 2021. Bookings are now open for our 2021 season, with flexible cancellation policies in order to account for these unprecedented times. Visit our website for more details. We look forward to meeting you all next year.

05.01.2022 Whale shark Humpback Whale Eco Tour - 3rd Sept 2020 Our lucky passengers were able to tick off these bucket list experiences yesterday: ORCAS - YES, up to 10 with one even coming up to the boat... WHALE SHARKS - YES , we swam with 2 out of 3 spotted HUMPBACK WHALES - YES, some spotted just off the back of the reef Sounds like a perfect day to us! Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

05.01.2022 Just like many others visiting our beautiful shores at the moment, these Orca's are also enjoying Ningaloo Reef. They have been spotted several times over the past couple of weeks. Yesterday our photographer Jess Leask managed to capture all four together. Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

05.01.2022 We're pretty lucky in Western Australia. There's nothing like a West Australian sunset. 04.01.2022 We often get asked questions such as "How far do you have to travel ?", " how deep is it where the Whale sharks are? " . Generally 99.9 % of the time the Whale sharks will be found outside the reef. Sometimes we are extra lucky and may find them in the shallow waters just off the back of the reef and other times they may be swimming in waters too deep to see the bottom. The beauty of Ningaloo Reef though is that as a fringing reef, it hugs the shore line. So you'll always see land when out on tour with us. You never know where a Whale shark will be found but what we can guarantee you is.........that once you have swum with that Whale shark for the first time, you'll definitely want to do it all again. Photo: Jess Leask

04.01.2022 There is definitely some optimism now in regards to interstate travel within Australia. We're looking forward to welcoming passengers from across the country and of course a busy 2021 Whale shark season. So avoid the rush and pre-book your spots now. Our Whale shark tours run daily between end of March - July 2021 with bookings open now. Check out our flexible cancellation policy for added assurance. 02.01.2022 This week we celebrate Naidoc Week. We acknowledge the Baiyungu, Thalanyji and Yinikurtura people as the original custodians of this land. Ningaloo comes from the Baiyungu word Nyinggulu which is said to mean ‘deepwater’ or ‘high land jutting into the sea’. The 50 words project is an interactive online map giving everyone the opportunity to hear Aboriginal languages spoken all across the continent. To hear common words such as 'hello' spoken in the language of the First Nations people simply click on the link below and follow the prompts. Zoom into where you'd find Exmouth on the map. While some languages remain to be recorded, you are able to listen to 50 words from the Thalanyji language. https://50words.online/

02.01.2022 A Whale shark should be in its natural environment, roaming the oceans, not displayed in an aquarium. So sad to think it spent over a decade, just swimming in circles.

02.01.2022 Safety in numbers!!!! Check out all the fish just cruising along with not only the Whale shark we encountered yesterday but also underneath a Manta Ray. Photo: Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

01.01.2022 There just 44 days left until Christmas. Take the pressure off this year and book a gift voucher for a Whale shark swim or Eco Tour with us. This clip below could be your view, cruising the shallows of the lagoon watching dolphins and turtles swim past. This before you even experience a Whale shark swim. Pure heaven, if you ask us.

01.01.2022 How's this for a perspective on size. You'll see one of our guides just to the left of the Whale shark. The Whale sharks that we encounter during our tours on average are about 6-8m in length. How big they are is a hard concept to fully grasp until you find yourself swimming right next to one. Photo: Jess Leask Australia's Coral Coast Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre

01.01.2022 Love going through the footage captured during our tours. Thought I'd share this one with you. One of those special moments during a snorkel when our photographer turned around to see not one but three dugongs cruising past. We usually only get a quick glimpse at these extremely shy creatures, so to be under water with them really is an encounter to remember. Video : Jess Leask Visit Ningaloo - Ningaloo Visitor Centre Australia's Coral Coast

01.01.2022 This private moment between a male and female Green Turtle was captured on our snorkel yesterday. The male turtle has claws on its front flippers that it will hook just under the front edge of the female turtles shell. This may pierce the female turtles skin but assists the male in maintaining his position. Video Kelsi Samson @visitningaloo Australia's Coral Coast
