23.01.2022 Today is International Tiger Day - 29 July. The tiger is the largest of the world’s big cats and this magnificent creature, with its distinctive orange and black stripes and beautifully marked face, has a day that is dedicated to it. International Tiger Day has been created so that people around the world can raise awareness for tiger conservation. The aim of the day is to help promote a worldwide system whereby we are dedicated to protecting tigers and their natural habitats.
21.01.2022 Thank you to so many of our parent community for taking the time to give us feedback on our upgraded Compass Parent app. Following your feedback last October a team was formed to find solutions to provider easier access to information on Compass through our parent app. 90% of parents have report that information is now easier to access lifting overall satisfaction to 4.12 (out of 5) stars. Congratulations to Emily, a Prep parent at our Reedy Creek campus who was randomly selected to win one of the new King’s softshell jackets, to be worn with both the formal and sports uniforms. We look forward to making further improvements to Compass platform from your most recent feedback.

17.01.2022 Week 1 in Term 3 sees sport returning with the Athletics Carnivals taking place Wednesday to Friday for the various year levels. Unfortunately, only the students can be present and must choose at least 3 items to participate in on the day.

16.01.2022 Friday afternoon is Impact Junior at the Church straight after school from 3.30 - 5.30pm. The theme this week is TRIBAL WARS. The afternoon will be jam-packed with outdoor games, activities and free ice cream for students in Years 4-6 to enjoy! You don't wanna miss this! Students can sign themselves into junior, however, they need to be collected at the auditorium door for collection by 5:30pm.

13.01.2022 Well done to Mason Mower in Year 5 for coming 14th out of 43 competitors at the South Coast Regional Aquathlon held at Lake Evandale in Surfer's Paradise last week. This event included a 1km run, 200m swim and 1km run. Read all the sports results in the latest newsletter on Compass.
13.01.2022 The wonderful atmosphere at the annual King's Pimpama Athletics Carnival Day 2 started with the finals of the 100m sprints, followed by some exciting high jump and long jump by the Age 14 students. The Athletics Carnival was held in superb weather with sunny skies and light winds for the three-day event. Athletes exceeded their own expectations with records tumbling and new superstars in the making achieving personal bests. Great friendship was enjoyed by all and the Year 3... students from Anzac Avenue campus in Logan Village joined in the activities in the Aged 8 categories. Each of the Anzac Avenue students received a commemorative medallion as this was their first-ever sporting event at King's. Thank you to the P&F for catering morning tea and lunch for the staff on duty at the event. It was very yummy and enjoyed by the staff members. 05.01.2022 We regret that the opening day for the new farmers market at our Anzac Ave campus in Logan Village must once again be postponed. A decision between the College and CommunityONE Markets has resulted in postponing the event until we have more confidence that there is no community transmission and there is a greater level of comfort in the community about moving around in public places. As always your safety is our priority. In the meantime, the organisers will continue to introduce the committed stallholders and as soon as they have an update on the opening date, we will let you know.
05.01.2022 Ignite kicked off today for the Years 1 - 6. Our students had fun gardening, fixing bikes, learning to work with tools, and design a dance to mention a few of the activities. More photos to follow next week as each group develops their ideas further.
