23.01.2022 YEAR 7 CAMP// Our Year 7s returned from their first High School camp yesterday after an amazing three days at QCCC Mapleton on the Sunshine Coast. Their action-packed camp program involved many adventurous challenges that developed their self-confidence, and included canoeing, a flying fox, climbing wall, scenic scooters, giant swing and so much more. We are sure our Year 7s had many exciting stories for their families last night!
22.01.2022 An amazing first day for our Year 3-6 Athletics Carnival with records broken in discus, high jump and track. Keilana Stanford-Modini smashed a 20 year 800m record by 10 seconds. 22.01.2022 Our Primary students have enjoyed an extraordinary CREATIVE BY DESIGN week and so many exciting opportunities to connect with God and each other, as they celebrated their creative talents. This year’s theme ‘Better Together’ began with the release of our new Chapel song, as well as a visit from 2020 LEGO Masters finalists Damian and Andrew (past King’s teacher) with their live Lego build. Christian Children’s musician Dan Warlow wowed the audience with his songs on Wednesday..., while Gospel Shows, live chapels, incredible King’s Has Talent Performances, tricks by Nickelby, craft creations, scavenger hunts, and many more fun activities filled the week’s festivities. 20.01.2022 Our Middle School and College Captains and Prefects were formally given their leadership badges at a special assembly yesterday. We were delighted to have the church pastors of our students celebrate with us to present the leaders with their badges. All Year 12 students were also acknowledged with Seniors badges for their leadership contribution to our school community in 2021. It is in partnership with parents, local churches and our amazing staff that we are growing Christian leaders to be a positive influence in their generation.
20.01.2022 The Year 6s have been working on a Business Plan that would help them commercialise a product or service of their choice. Today our seven finalists pitched their ideas to three ‘venture capitalists’ during our inaugural Shark Tank event. The ‘sharks’ quizzed the students with some challenging questions but the budding entrepreneurs responded with confidence. Congratulations to the winning duo, Sophia and Grace (from 6V) whose designed The Nibbler to provide a fun and safe way for pets to enjoy their food, with five successful sales so far. Both students received an annual pass to Dreamworld for their efforts. Many thanks to our amazing judges for bringing their business acumen to this event to help select our 2020 winners.
20.01.2022 Congratulations to our U10 Girls, U10 Boys and U12 Boys champion teams at the Brisbane Metro Schools Futsal Titles! Well done to the U11 boys who were runners up in their age group. It was a great effort by all our King's team with the U9 Boys finishing 5th, the U12 Boys 4th, and the U12 Girls 4th. Go King's!

13.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS Year 12 students for completing your last ATAR exams on Tuesday and special thanks to those who returned to King’s yesterday to have their final say for LEGACY DAY. The aim of the day was to formulate ideas for improving the College based on the students’ experiences, as they discussed some key topics facing students, with the potential to impact future generations. As well as some serious sessions, the graduates enjoyed a flow of tasty catering and time chat...ting together in the café. The final hour was spent presenting their ideas to Mr Davis and the Heads of High School, and the thought-provoking points sparked discussions for some new ideas to be implemented. LEGACY DAY reinforced the College’s desire to develop leaders of influence and to be responsive to feedback, as senior staff listened intently to every idea put forward. Thank you graduates for an incredible day!

11.01.2022 Yesterday’s drizzly conditions failed to dampen House spirits as our students flocked to the Palm Beach Aquatic Centre for their High School Swimming Carnival. Students of all ages and abilities swam with determination, collecting points for their House and enjoying the supportive atmosphere of their peers. Well done to every student who took part in this important Carnival! CONGRATULATIONS to Finney House who showed their sensational swimming skills and House spirit and took out the House Champions title. We awarded the 2021 Age Champions and Record Breakers at this afternoon’s assembly - keep an eye out for the first College Newsletter on Friday which will include these results, and more photos and videos from the event.

10.01.2022 Festive spirit was on display early this year at King’s as our high schoolers filled the fields dressed in their favourite Christmas creations for the annual Festival Lunch fundraiser. Santa made an appearance, along with the Gingerbread man, reindeer, and even Mary and Joseph! The colourful COVID-safe event raised funds for King’s Care Christmas Hampers which will bless many families in need this Christmas. Thanks to our amazing community for supporting our final mission’s activity for 2020!

04.01.2022 YEAR 11 CAMP // Our Year 11s returned from their camp on Wednesday after an exciting three-day seaside experience at Lake Ainsworth Recreation Centre in Lennox Head. Their action-packed camp program included sea and sand-based activities and ‘survivor’ style team challenges, as well as valuable time to connect with God and with their peers.
