25.01.2022 WOW WHAT A CLASS Not only is being a vet nurse so rewarding but also being able to get the opportunity to run puppy preschool classes makes me the happiest person alive ! I had such a joy graduating these five amazing little puppies on Monday night. This class couldn’t have been any more amazing if they tried, the effort that I seen each week being put in towards their puppies and their training was evident when it came to our talent show in week four! ... Thank you all so much for such a rewarding class and being so much fun, you guys really are the best and I’m so jealous because you have the best puppies Can’t wait to see what you all grow up to be like but I know it’ll be so much cheekiness, craziness and playfulness! We have more classes starting next week and the week after, if you’d like to join in on all the fun contact us today for more information, spots are filling up fast.

23.01.2022 Why would we go anywhere else Mila had been with us 7 days today ! We spent the weekend with her vomiting and very little sleep So off to the vet first thing... today , it was like a day care Center everyone wanting cuddles, mummy stopping her day for a bottle feed before our next adventure ! She has gained nearly 500 grams in 5 days but we are still struggling with swelling ! She is getting 24 hour care and even though exhausted she is worth every minute! Not sure what is wrong with that vet , I think he loves puppy cuddles Thanks ladies and Chris for turning my tears into smiles See more

23.01.2022 Congratulations to the all boys class on their graduation (the two Arlos’, Diego, Murphy, Pablo, and Romeo) Everyone got along well and picked up on their training and social skills very quickly. Thank you to the parents, you are all dedicated to helping your puppies learn and grow, I look forward to seeing you all again. Nurse Loren

23.01.2022 With the festive season upon us, we must remember human treats are for HUMANS only and not our furry friends. Whilst we love love love Christmas pudding, ham, pork, prawns, mince pies, chocolate and pavlova these delicious festive foods pose a danger for our furry family members Nine times out of ten, the cause of your pet’s upset stomach will be from something they’ve eaten. A dog not eating their food or refusing to play may be an early sign of a more serious condition. If your dog has an upset stomach there are things you can do to relieve their discomfort. Give us a call if you’re noticing these symptoms or have concerns.

21.01.2022 Here at Kings Road Veterinary Surgery we remember our fallen diggers. Let us also remember our four legged and winged ‘soldiers’ who have served alongside our troops. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them all. Lest we forget.... We will be closed on Monday 26 April, We will open again on Tuesday 27 April at 7.00 am. For all emergencies, please contact us on 4772 4189 and follow the prompts to our after hours service.

06.01.2022 To all our clients and their furry friends, have a pawsome New Year and we look forward to seeing you in 2021. Bottoms pup... While us humans enjoy the excitement of fireworks, more often than not, it is not the case for our furry friends. Here are some tips to keep them safe... Make sure your pet gets plenty of exercise earlier in the day. Keep your pet indoors if at all possible, preferably with human companionship. Provide a safe place for your pet to retreat and if anxious, pets often prefer small enclosed areas. If possible, keep the windows and curtains closed. This is also a good time to make sure your pet is microchipped and that the registration information is up to date (pets are known to become more proficient at escaping than Houdini himself). An identification tag with a properly fitting collar is also a good idea. If your pet is known to be particularly anxious, you might want to consider giving them some sedation to ease them through this stressful time. Please ring the surgery for further information.
