22.01.2022 As everybody will be well aware by now, the coronavirus COVID-19 has well and truly spread throughout the world, and although we are more fortunate than most being in Tasmania, we still (and especially) need to be vigilant in our efforts to reduce it’s impact. We know that is an uncertain and scary time, but would like to reassure you that we are still open for the care and support of all of our valued clients and their animals. We will operate as normally as possible within... the restrictions that are imposed on us all. We have adopted the following measures based on the recommendations from the Australian Veterinary Association, Veterinary Board of Tasmania and state and federal governments, and will continue to do so. If you are unwell or have been in contact with someone who is unwell, or are under quarantine, please do not bring your pet into the hospital. Find a friend or family member who is well to help you. Being a veterinary hospital, we are very used to cleaning but we have greatly increased the frequency and use of disinfectants that will inactivate COVID-19. Please limit the people who come with you when you come in to the hospital (including children) due to the social distancing requirement. If possible, could they please wait in the car. You can also wait in the car and we can come to collect your pet from the car and bring them in to the hospital to examine a concierge service, if you like! We are still able to utilize the waiting room but can only allow one person per bench seat only, again for social distancing. If you are just interested in collecting food or medication, please phone us before you arrive if possible so that we can minimise your waiting time. If you can prepay for food or medication over the phone that would also be appreciated. Unfortunately at this time we will not be able to provide a house call service for pets, but most large animal calls will be as normal. As with most outlets now, please avoid paying with cash card, telephone payment or bank transfer is preferred. Even at times like these we treasure all our clients and will do everything that we can to provide the best service for you and your pets. 19.01.2022 What better way to end the week then helping a new litter of puppies into the world! Daisy delivered 8 healthy puppies by ceasarian section this afternoon, and if you think that sounds like alot her previous litter was 12! Daisy and her puppies are all doing well

14.01.2022 This is Cadbury. Today is special for Cadbury not only because it is his 5th Birthday, but also because he has recently undergone chemotherapy to treat lymphoma and is now in remission! Cadbury did 12 weeks of chemotherapy and has responded really well. We wish Cadbury a very Happy Birthday!
